Haha touché. As for Space Dandy it's not really a music anime. It uses music the same way Bebop does where it's very prevalent and important in the show but the story isn't actually explicitly about music. And the show is pretty raunchy hence why I mentioned it potentially showing up on the degen tier.

I understand the reasoning but I don’t think it’s that jarring tbh plus other than the main duo the Japanese performances are better imo

I downgraded from the degen tier for the time being since I've never seen The Eminence in Shadow and there's no sense paying extra for something I'm not watching. But let me tell you I will never have bought a subscription so fast if I see Space Dandy appear on there. It is my unpopular opinion that Space Dandy is by far Shinichirō Watanabe's best show.

I’m not sure you’ll dig Carole and Tuesday all that much, but interestingly it is in the same universe as Cowboy bebop. It would be hilarious to get it on this poll, and Space Dandy on another poll (which is also is cowboy bebop’s universe) just to complete the trifecta

i mean, gotta go wiht beck, but honestly all will work, except maybe for those snow white notes, i don't think tony would hate it, but aside from the music everything else is kinda.. boring, lol

Kinda bummed I can’t recommend the Macross franchise for this since despite being centered around cool transforming robots and idol music it doesn’t quite fit the requirements exactly for a “music anime”. Especially now that the franchise is legally available on Hulu/Disney +

If Carole & Tuesday wins it should be watched in Dub. It feels more natural that way since the songs are in English.

Incase anyone is wondering what type of music each show focuses on; Those Snow White Notes for traditional Japanese music, Beck for rock/punk music, Nodame Cantabile for classical music and Carole and Tuesday for a variety of different genres but with a cool sci-fi setting.
