The way I understand it, it's not so much that Oczy had a change of heart, more like he broke free of the shackles the Church had put onto him, allowing him to be true to himself. That's why he said freedom is what he's after. He chose to believe in Heliocentrism, while the Church imposed a belief on him. Man it's hard to express my thoughts in just a few sentences when it comes to this show. So much good stuff in there, I'm gonna miss it when it's over.

If there’s a reason not to watch this show, it’s the next episode. I’m going to assume you forgot what that device does that he picked up at the end, but he told us what it is the first time we met Nowak. When I watched this episode the first time and saw the ending, my soul left my body.
