Digital Tiers, Discord, Taxes, and Cute Rawr Teaser
🕑 Added 2020-05-24 21:44:19 +0000 UTC*so-much-to-cover* Kind of an update with some cool new info!
*Also thank you everyone who joined in on Community Day last night!*
First of all.... Discord roles are fixed. I did some maintenance today on the bot and managed to get it to recognize all the roles. So once you set up your Patreon account to your Discord one and join in on my server you will be auto-given the super special patron roles. It also gives you access to the channels that we do Community Days in! If you haven't joined yet - I super recommend hoping it. I would love to actually get to talk to you guys and get to know everyone here!

Now lets talk about the new Digital Tiers!
Cute Rawr and Cute Rawr Super both now have Digital Only Tiers. It is exactly what it is named... digital only! I know a lot of you asked me about having a digital only tier - I got you fam!
If you just want the digital content...
- whether it be the 3 months worth of sets available in Cute Rawr (total of 12 photosets... that's not even including all the selfies sets you get access to as well)
- OR have access to EVERYTHING (there are over 50 sets available right now) in Cute Rawr Super....
.....these digital tiers are great option to have!
Regular Cute Rawr and Super Cute Rawr both have the same rewards they always. But also come with physical rewards.
- Regular Cute Rawr gets a monthly option for a mini print and polaroid.
- Regular Cute Rawr Super additionally gets two 8x12" prints from any set of your choice and a cosplay sticker!
*You can change your tiers at any point during the month! So if you change your mind and want to be in the physical reward tiers you can edit your tier any time before the end of the month!*
So Taxes.... (yeah yeah I know super boring stuff but its important. No worries I will simplify it so we can get back to all the cool stuff.)
I wanted to give you an update on some changes that we’ll be seeing which may affect some of your pledges. Due to new laws passing in several countries and US states, Patreon will be required to start charging sales tax on some pledges starting July 1st.
Less than half of all patrons will be charged sales tax, and for most, the amount will be very small. For example, sales tax rates in the US range from 4% to 11%, so on a $5 pledge, that would be between 20 cents and 55 cents.
Whether or not you will be charged sales tax depends on your location, and what is considered taxable there. Not every pledge is taxable, not all benefits are taxable in every location, and sometimes only a fraction of a pledge will be taxable. The money that Patreon collects as a result of these laws are paid directly to local governments.
I’m working closely with Patreon to ensure I’m able to save you as much money as possible when it comes to sales tax - which is not something that’s possible with other platforms. It is also one of the reasons I have been doing so much maintenance in creating new tiers and making adjustments in order to be most fair and save more for you in the future.
If you’re in a location where sales tax will be required, you should expect to receive an email from Patreon with more information about this very soon, but I wanted to make sure you were aware of these changes way ahead of July 1st when they go into effect.
If you have questions, you should be able to find answers here. If you still have questions, the best place to get an answer is from Patreon’s customer support team, here.
I so appreciate all your support! I have a lot of really cool content to share with you. Also we aren't even done with May and I still have content I will be sharing this week!
