Remind me pls who that is?

I am not completely pleased with this turn of event. But I do feel like a lot of the comments are blowing things out of proportions. I guess you put us so much into Scarlett's mindset that seeing her perfect plan go awry feels very frustrating. Plus many people, me included, really like Rosa and hope she won't get killed in the mess she caused.

Tin

Hope it’ll be a brilliant trump card that Rosa’s figured out… cause she’s risking an awful lot - one village of zealots for the entire continent and her friends… “Rosa didn’t need all the time in the world; she just needed enough of it. After that, she already knew of a way of stopping Anguish from causing any harm. The demon had lost the moment she went up against Scarlett. Now this was just a scramble for her to preserve as much of her power as possible.”

Jo

The problem is that it goes against so many established character-traits that It’s idiotic…..

Riaren

Dear, oh dear, Rosa's decision is worth it for just how delicious all the anger is.

Faiir

And the entire time Rosa's thinking "Well, no worries, if I fuck it up Scarlett will fix it!", like - She was already fixing it idiot!

Ulbert

Welp. Was nice to have a bard. Now, let’s through her upon a pyre. Because seriously. “Wait you’re telling I got some sort of Demon Lord locked inside of me, that’s threatening to ruin the whole continent if freed and you have the perfect plan to save me from that sorry excuse for an existence? Better fuck everything up and threaten untold thousands because Lol, or even Lmao. In fact, my Roflcopter goes Soi soi soi and I’m outta here. *Proceeds to fuck everything* Like wth. What is this. Is Rosa like actually evil? AFTER she gets told how much suffering Anguish will bring no less. I see this as more of a “ Oh, it doesn’t go like Scarlet thought”, but this is the wrong approach for the wrong character at the wrong time tbh. I mean. Resorting to killing her is the only logical conclusion or maybe let Malachi subsume Anguish if possible. It wasn’t a gamble with the continents population before. NOW, everyone should instantly gun for her head… right? Like in what world does this end in Rosa getting anything but the blade or maybe getting thrown out. Like this is recklessly stupid enough, for me to not like her anymore… It is so out of left field. So…Undeserving of Rosas burdens… Kill her or something. That really took the fun and anticipation out both the situation and Rosa as a character.

One of the best things about this story is the whole shtick of how the other characters react to Scarlett knowing things she probably shouldn't and seeing them puzzle over it. Everyone in Scarletts party is now familiar with her, so I think it would help keep the shtick alive if we can rotate people out for new people (eg. the princess or Leon) to get the Scarlett experience. Personally, I would rather see Alyssa/Shin rotated out than Rosa. Perhaps when the Tribe of Sin does their empire wide attack, Alyssa's father or the Shielder's guild recalls her and Shin comes with. I also think that as Scarlett's party becomes bigger (5 people now - Rosa/Finn/Alyssa/Shin/Scarlett, 6 if Kat comes back) that its harder to fit in character development moments and interactions because there's so many of them. Imho keeping the group size to 4 or 5 is a good thing. Also, I agree with the decision to rotate Kat out. She was too OP and would have trivialized the challenges, reducing the dramatic tension. Perhaps now that Scarlett and companions have caught up to Kat, I could see her being rotated back in.

I'm really torn between hoping Rosa gets turned to ashes, and a happy ending. I really don't want to lose Rosa as a character, she's by far my favorite of the bunch, but this was so dumb I also really want there to be a consequence, though hopefully not one Scarlett has to bear. The amount of effort Scarlett put in to saving Rosa for her to almost throw it away like this is beyond disappointing. Though, with anguish teleporting them all out of the citadel, and now Malachi trying to get through the dome instead of working on anguish, the fact Rosa did anything at all might mean the death of the villagers.

Big I

So what, something to do with Fynn's ancestors? Setting them against Anguish?

Kyle

To be honest I am now hoping Scarlett is forced to kill her for her stupidity.

Lazy Minx

So, and I am just making a comment on what I see, Rosa did not have a plan and this was all impulsiveness. Okay, fine, I accept that. I just hope that this doesn’t end up with Rosa virtually disappearing from the story like it did with our other fan favorite.
