Late to this, but just wanted to add that this is not remotely a spoiler. The significance of them cutting out before Cap can finish *only* works if you know about it from the comics, or if someone tells you. Otherwise you probably won't even know he was going to say something else...let alone that it was significant...those who know understand the ramifications of this...

Rewatching this movie with y'all (also for the first time) helped put this movie up on my top 5 Marvel movies. So many years of people telling me to skip this movie because it was bad, but turned out to be a much more complete prequel to the next Avengers movies than I anticipated.

I see Steve snd Natasha as having a close bond, but platonic. Almost a bro-ship of opposites. Of course, Nat's best friend is Clint... and Steve's best friend is Bucky (and perhaps Sam). But Steve & Natasha get each other in their own unique side-by-side way. Honestly, it a treat to see such genuinely crafted male/female friendships in the MCU.

"Avengers Assemble" is not a spoiler, as it's just letting them know something that's in the history of the comics, but has no impact on the future films. As it's the Avengers "battle cry" or call to arms, they can now understand that it was a "teaser" when they cut off the phrase, otherwise it seems odd if you don't understand what you were watching as it seems to have no context.

I don't know if they'll do it but it'd be a lot more effective, so personally I hope they watch Black Widow before Infinity War/Endgame and just save the post credits scene for after those movies. Them bringing up being excited for her movie made me think about that.

This is my comfort Marvel movie, just seeing the whole team figithing together and having fun was amazing. Also I love that they gave every avenger a different arc in this movie and it made sense for all of them. Tony is such a complex character because, of course we all know he messed things up, but he truly does it because of his fears and I think it makes him one of the most human avengers. He is scared to fail earth, especially after the first Avengers, and he is acting after his fears which is a human thing to do. There is so much depth to his character which I love.

Marvel did a great job with the casting. Even the recasted Hulk and Rhodes. Their chemistry as a group is so good. Stark created Jarvis, who/which is an AI. All this time, Jarvis has picked up on Stark’s personality and even developed empathy and humility a little bit. Stark also created the Ultron program, so it makes sense that it has “inherited” some of Stark’s characteristics, like his sarcasm and playfulness. Even Ultron itself seems to like these qualities. I really enjoyed Ultron too. Always love movies with interesting villains. Tony Stark is such a fascinating character. He’s not coward at all. And he’s not wrong about the bigger danger out there. It’s not just a vision or that he was “shown” by Wanda. The event in New York is plenty proof that the Earth needs a shield. A shield. Cap symbolizes shield but he unfortunately doesn’t have the smarts to invent something more formidable. It’s not his fault. It’s a different time after all. Tony Stark feels the burden of protecting the world. He could not would not stop inventing stuff because he’ll always regret not doing anything. They always turn to Tony for help in desperate times. Rob even looked for him in the Winter Soldier, LOL. It may seem like he made a huge mistake creating Ultron but let’s face it, no one else seems to be doing anything (at least on Earth) to prepare for the threat. Shield’s done. If it was a successful project, everyone would be cheering for him. Fail and of course he’ll get the blame. It’s such a burden and Tony’s willing to take that risk. Just look when Jarvis became Vision, suddenly everyone’s onboard “Well done, Tony,” says Thor. I felt a bit sad for Tony though essentially losing/letting go of Jarvis as his AI to become Vision but again, it was necessary and he just has to move on (enter Friday). One thing I noticed with Tony too is that he is desperate to find someone to lean on. More than anybody, he really wants him and Cap to be on the same page. Excited for the Civil War :D

Farewell to Pietro, who went by the name of Quicksilver in the comics. He was basically Marvel's 'Flash'. I wish they would have kept him a couple more movies into the MCU... I've liked that actor ever since he was in Kickass as a younger actor.

Always makes me excited, and I figured y'all wouldn't recognize him because how could anyone, but thats my interesting factoid for this one! Looking forward to the next, and as always, I enjoyed watching with yall!
