Pretty sure it was just one bullet coming from directly below going through his stomach and out his neck

I never liked the ‘Travis was bit in the pit theory’, there’s no way he would’ve been able to walk around like that with half his stomach falling out before they got in the helicopter. Stomach pain is one of the most painful injuries and even a badass like Travis would have some reaction to that. Large caliber bullets can indeed shred a human’s torso even from a richochet. He most likely took a glancing shot/ricochet to the neck, but also caught another one in the side of his abdomen.

Yeah, he wasn't bit at all. He was shot at an upward angle...it entered in his stomach and came out his neck, as you said.

That's what I thought on first and now rewatch too. His actions and mannerisms after the pit, though subtle, suggested he knew he was bit.

Hmm. I watched it back then too and felt he was bit. How he acts coming out of the pit and after. He acted like something was wrong (though subtly) then getting hit in the neck it felt like he noe knew he was going to die faster and not get a last chance to say goodbye,

Yeah, this was weird. He was definitely shot and definitely not bit. I did a few searches to be sure wiki isnt always accurate...couldn't find one that said he was bit.

As someone who watched this back then, i can confirm by multiple sources that it was infact the bullets ripping through his body from below. It's a real military thing that exists. Soldiers used to sit on their helmets in choppers to prevent this very scenario from happening or a least reduce the chance of it happening. He was NOT bit.

I’m also pretty sure Travis was bitten. If you watch from the time he exits the pit to his death he not only looks like he knows but he was also really upset getting into the helicopter without Maddie. Even trying to find out how long the flight would be so he could say goodbye. And he had the bite pretty well covered until he showed Alicia. So sad he had to leave the show It was fun watching Robs face when Daniel showed up. It’s hilarious knowing when to watch for his reactions.

DANIEL!!!!! LOL Yay!!!!I I believed that Travis got shot on the helicoptor. He didn't show any signs of injury during his escape. I didn't want to really say anything before this because you still believed (at least for awhile) that he might have survived. Maddie caught on real quick that the way to protect her kids against Troy, is to include him in her umbrella of family care.

I looked it up, and it said he was bit. And when you rewatch the episode, you can tell he knows he is about to die - every scene he is in after the fight, he looks devastated. I am very confident he was bit.

in all fairness wiki isnt the most most trustful source but yeah no im pretty sure the others would notice if he was walking around with his guts hanging out lol

The wiki confirms that Travis was shot through the stomach and out the neck. Not sure who or why people were saying he was bit, anything that would cause his guts to hang out of him would not allow him to continue to run like he does during the escape of the compound when the infected break in.
