Your questions about nick feeling like he's got a superpower I think it's not that deep in a sense, I think rlly nick knows the blood and guts cover his scent and he knows it'll work for others but he doesn't FEAR them, we see in the main show at the start, Rick and Glenn are scared with the blood and guts on them still, they're panicking. Nick isn't like that. He knows most people would be afraid but he isn't. That's why he feels more powerful in a sense.

Addiction literally alters your brain wiring, so it makes sense. The younger you became an addict, the less of a sense of self you have when you're sober, too. I went thought this with someone & it was very eye opening.

"If an apocalypse isn't a reason to get completely bombed out, when is it...?" I agree that that's when you would want to the most, but is it a good idea? As you saw - not so much. lol It is fun to see them (anyone) wasted in this universe. I heard (or read) something once, and it makes sense, that addicts (who became addicts as children or young adults) are somewhat naive to the world, because they missed out on a normal childhood, or normal young adult experiences. So in recovery, they have a lot to learn about the "normal" world. Nick reminds me of that, alot. He has a childlike innocence, and yet he knows a messed-up world better than anyone else in this series.

The scenarios that this show creates are always so unique and interesting. It’s so different from what we see in the main show but still has that walking dead charm
