Wow! I’m so happy I found your patreon page! I’m new to making terrain and all of your creations are getting me pumped to start

I just want to echo the above sentiments. Fantastic work! I started my terrain-building journey with hand-carved and textured XPS foam, then graduated to the amazing plaster molds by Hirst Arts and air-dry clay sculpting, then eventually I got into 3D printing and started printing terrain. Now with these rollers, I'm combining all of those skills and tools together. Thank you.

I can't wait to see that! Be sure to send some pics. Also, thanks =D

Boy, You're REALLY hitting your stride. Your rollers may be the best thing on patreon. Can't wait to see what you come up with next! These are AMAZING.

It really depends, both work fine but we found that most people use 2.5/ i inch grids. If you already have stuff with a 30mm grid all you need to do is scale all of the rollers grid presses and cutters and such by 120% and you will have the size that you are looking for =D
Michael Fuller
Awesome! Thanks!

so the squares are 2,5cm. isnt that a bit small for the minis and the awesome stuff, like bookstacks on the floor? I have some diy dungeontiles out of xps and my grid is 3 cm. Now i am a little concerned to change to the 2,5 cm grid from the texturerollers here. what are your expiriences with the 2,5 cm grid? is there place enough for minis and decostuff and so on?

That's what I figured, that some of the rollers wouldn't translate all the details to the foam, as they do on the clay. Depending on one's needs, that might be OK for some of them. I'll have to experiment when I can go to Germany to pick up some XPS foam.
Custom Miniature Maker
I have used it, it works quite well for some of the rollers such as the wooden plank one I did for example but no matter what you do miss out on a lot of the details that clay lets you see. So instead of this I would do a thin layer of clay and then stick this with PVA to a foam sheet instead. This way you are still saving on a lot of clay but it will have the details!

Cheers! Happy that you are happy!

Did anyone else stupidly look at the book stacks and wonder at first how they managed to design a roller that creates them? No, just me? 😂🤦♂️
Custom Miniature Maker
Thanks so much! Yeah we are pretty proud of these ones =D

This is just amazing! So much more detail and such, than I was thinking. Just wow!

My apologies if this has been asked and answered before, but have you (or any backers) used the rollers on XPS foam and if so, what were the results? I can definitely see some being more "useful" for foam than others (i.e. leaving a proper/clearer imprint). I have to get XPS from outside my country (unless I pay exorbitant prices for small pieces), but some of the floor/ground textures might be well suited for such applications, to save a bit on the clay.

Quite a lot of awesome stuff in here!
