Lava Terrain Release Today!
🕑 Added 2022-11-11 00:36:44 +0000 UTCHey Miniature Makers,
As promised here is the lava terrain set for you all as a thank-you for joining us and helping us get off to a great start with this whole thing.
We could not have done it without you guys so it is really just a big thank you!
We will be announcing the Demon Expansion to this set which is the next Stretch Goal, in a few days!
Lava Terrain Set
What the set includes:
-8 Large Pieces of Lava Terrain
These pieces of terrain range from bubbling pools of lava to erupting lava vents and basalt pillars.
-1 Giant Volcano Tower
This Giant volcano is made so that you can stage a giant battle up the side of it and it has space for a bottle humidifier so you can make it actually kick out steam! (We will include a document telling you which electric devices fit)
The main focus of this set is playability and the basalt pillars and platforms are all made so that they can hold bases up to 40mm.
Printability:
To ensure that everyone can print this set I have put it in a few different sizes for you guys. Firstly there are the full-size pieces all laid flat for printing in FDM. Then, there are two different sizes of pre-supported versions of each terrain piece, one made for larger resin printers and the other an even smaller version for those of you with quite small resin printers. As there is nothing on the models that shows scale they can be printed in any size and work great!
How to Download:
Now added to the Vault and available for download at the link below, or through your My Mini Factory Library! (please direct message us with your MMF email to gain access if you haven't already)
As always the models are both laid flat for FDM and Pre-Supported for resin, so print how you wish.

Thanks, Herbert! Not specifically, but the cracked mud roller from the Arid Wasteland set is pretty versatile, and could easily be painted to look like rock with veins of magma in it. https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-print-n-roll-arid-wasteland-232576

This looks great! Do you guys have a roller that would work well as basing toppers or bases for this terrain set?

Rather than cut it I would just scale all the volcano parts down a couple of percentage. there is certain leeway for it in the model so it would work totally fine.

Can't wait to start printing this tomorrow! Looking at the files for FDM, the main middle is still a bit oversized for the Prusa Mk3s printbed, Do you happen to have cut files for that piece? If not, no big deal, I can split it if needed.

Just tried with a second account and got the 404 - I think the files are still being approved by MMF, so please try again shortly! Thanks for the heads-up.

Thanks, Mark! I just tried the link, and it seems to be working from my end...MMF can be a bit temperamental sometimes though :P Maybe try again shortly - It's hot off the press! (Feel free to DM me if this is still an issue :) )
