Paint Pot Swatch Caps

Do you ever find yourself rooting around trying to find a particular colour or maybe you haven't used a paint before or in years and have no idea how the colour will dry on your mini...
Well no more!
Introducing Swatch Caps: These little paint pot toppers will help you find and identify the colour you need in moments.
We have made three different fittings of them so there are ones that fit onto dropper bottle tops, onto GW rounded-top paint pots and a flat-bottomed one that fits onto metal paints and any other paint pots with flat lids.
Along with this, we made two designs, one is of course full of skulls but we made another which is a wooden shelf with books for those of you who are not too keen on skulls.
There is also a fitting for the skulls design to go over the bottom of a dropper bottle for those that store them upside down.
How to use:
1. Prime them in black
2. Gently prime over or drybrush in light grey/white
3. Glue onto the paint pot lid you desire
4. Apply a generous coat of the paint from in the pot to the cap
Ta-da, you can now identify and know how the paint will look in moments. This should help to reduce using the wrong colour or ruining a mini by using a paint the dries differently than you expect.

Hey Carrie, I just sent an update notification to your inbox. See if that does it.
Carrie Schnieders
I am not seeing it in my MMF
Matt Brown
Amazing, thanks! Now to print them off.

Done, now in the folder

Just made this for you, test printing it now and will add it tomorrow morning. As the base of every dropper bottle is different I made it larger so it slots around it and could only do the skull as the books were too high

Oh man, bad timing, I'm sure yours will also be great

I can tell this is going to be a big time "go-to" print item whenever I get new paints. Like any mini painter, I am always trying new paints.

Well crap, I just finished printing off 140 of some that I created

These are a great idea! Is there a fitting that would go over the base of a dropper bottle but still be flat enough to stand on? I store my paints in a rack that is end up.

Was hoping you guys would like them!

Oh yes! These are brilliant! Thank you

Another great idea! This is why it's awesome to have fellow makers around :D

I already paint the top of my bottles but these are a brilliant idea and look a lot more classy - I just need an awful lot of them. On my contrast type paints I take maxigregrze’s Pro Tip a step further. I paint a third white, a third bone and a third gun metal as I use those paints over all three base colours. So it looks like I’m going to have to mix up a bottle topper that has three distinct areas to make this easier - oh dear! more distractions

Great idea

This is fantastic!

But think how much easier it will make it in the long run haha

Genius, I’m doing this from now on

Pro tip: paint the topper half in white and half in black, this way you can easily see how the color looks on both light dans dark bases colors!

Brilliant! Now to print about 120 of them...
