schlatt the most used airsoft gas is CO2 cartridges. the gas in the magazines isnt interchangeable, you have to use the gas intended for not only the gun but also the magazine. Green gas is what snipers and bigger automatic guns use but some smaller gun can have a green gas variant. also you said you're loading metal bb's i didn't look up what gun you have but don't confuse pellet guns with airsoft guns. one is a fun sport the other is for hunting small game. most mags are designed for a specific bb weight and size. this is all information the gun manufacturer will tell you unless you skim over it. also most people choose not to use propane as it's expensive, dangerous and does everything green gas does.
