Alexander C Hyde

His legs would be able to grow back and he would eventually be whole again. Their story continued but it was more of the same after that. Fighting for levels, getting points (for)of food.

Alexander C Hyde

We (focused)focsed on getting my immediate family first for a few reasons. One, they were the closest, they were only a few minutes away before the world changed and wouldn't take that long to retrieve.

Cool thanks man very good explanation

PenguinKills

Affinities are more the type of mana that your body and spirit resonate with. Having a Fire affinity makes using, manipulating, altering, anything to do with the element easier. It also makes gaining a Law in that element easier. Base affinities, Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, any base element, can be built upon. Like Storm combines Lightning, Water, and Wind. It makes every skill or action involving those elements cheaper and easier. They can also be deepened. Earth can be improved to Heartstone/Bedrock, Continental, then Tectonic. All of them are strictly Earth related but they build up and get stronger. That does not mean there are Bedrock Laws, or Continental Laws. All use the base Earth Law which encapsulates all of them. Laws are like the building blocks of reality, they are the base form of and rules everything is governed by, Arctic affinity will not lead to an Arctic Law, but a combination of Wind and Ice. A different powerset explores the combinations better and delves into that direction that hasn't been introduced yet.

PenguinKills

Affinities do have a hereditary trend. Families will have similar affinities but that isn't set in stone. There can be outliers or if the parents have opposing affinities only one will be chosen. It differs from person to person. Hereditary can be used as a guideline but not a set of hard rules. Affinities can also be changed. So yes, a bloodline can influence this. If someone doesn't like the affinity they were born with, they can change it. It takes a lot of time and effort, sometimes also treasures, but it's possible to change it.

Baconwargod

So how does the arctic affinity work? Does he blend Ice and Wind and get a Least or Lesser Arctic Law? Or is it more the combination of both Laws working in tandem but he doesn’t ever get an Arctic Law

sn0_0ker

Are affinities hereditary to some degree? Does Bloodlines influence this?

Demonlord

Thanks for the nice chapter 😊 Gabriel and his mother have much to learn an a level gap to close... Also getting the wind law for Chris would be awesome 😁

James Faulkner

Tftc lol

PWeygandt

Aye, they are both Mages! That's a fun dynamic. I can't wait to see them in action. Also, my bet is on Gabriel getting the 3rd form of improvement first since he is so focused on Mana and it's usage
