I know the area well! I worked at The (Canton) Repository for almost five years — and then another two in Akron at the Beacon Journal — before moving to Philadelphia! I spent a year of my life one night at The Flats, but that's a bachelor's party story best saved for later. :)

As a native of Northeast Ohio, "Methane Master" is the perfect name for a villian at the Akron branch given the severe problems Cleveland/Akron/Youngstown have with meth addicts.

Lightning Lady: Really? We never have office parties. Akron Employee: What birthday? Looks like Lightning Lady should probably be saying they never have Birthday Parties, or the Akron Employee's first bubble in the bottom left panel seems a little off topic.
