I had to tell the bank it was OK, then tell Patreon to rerun the charge. All was well after that.

I got the receipt OK on my end.

When I contacted my credit card company, I was told that their system detected an abnormal spike in activity on the Patreon site and so they shut down access to my credit card and sent me an e-mail asking me to verify the charge. After going through the identification process and verifying that the charge was legitimate, they restored access and processed the charge. Of note, I support 14 creators, may/may not have been part of the problem

I’m not sure that’s related to what’s going on today. That article is from last October. Today’s issue is directly related to a new payment system based in the UK.

Mine went through as well. I just don't know why Patreon would use an out-of-country processor. Everyone know they tend to give US banks a fit.
