She's the daughter of a demon lord of Hell/Hell like dimension. Before the universe shift she looked like a normal human with the demonic tail. She didn't take on her more demonic traits and coloration until she got pregnant. Though after the universe shift, she's apparently always been the smoking red demoness we see now.
