Satyr x Swordsman
🕑 Added 2025-04-14 15:20:53 +0000 UTCHappy Monday!! This was just a little one-off drawing exploring the theme and art style for the satyr comic while everyone was voting last week so this does not reflect the voting results exactly.
BUT the results are IN and the second image shows our CHOSEN PAIRING π :D Satyr D won by a hefty margin but it was a tighter race with the leading male character as Swordsman C.
I'm still toying with whether or not drawing the whole thing with a green line could work for me or not. I think while I work on thumbnails and roughs this week I'll do one kind of style target with the couple in question so I know what I'm going for and can stick to it for the whole project, hopefully.

I love this because that's the sort of thing that I tend to fixate on-- how would things feel to touch. I know it's going to be hard to resist putting a lot of lines in them in the end so I'm going to have to make sure they look like clouds every few pages at least :3

i'm so delighted by the fluffiness of the satyr's legs, it's such good shape and texture, i bet her legs feel like touching a fluffy cloud :3

Ohhh I didn't even think about the copper angle! That's very appropriate for a bronze age civilization comic π

AAAAA WONDERFUL!! i love the orange and green theme- its very much giving copper, which i love <3 i love that he looks like a gentle giant and she looks cheery and outgoing

ππ Please DO :D I really enjoyed using it . I feel like as long as there's a warm color to use as a flesh tone you can really get away with a lot of different wacky color combos.

Ouuu love the drawing! He looks really hungry haha Iβm following your idea of using a different palette for my drawings each month and itβs funny how your March palette is very similar to mine. The green line + yellow fill combo works extremely well, hope you donβt mind if I borrow it for a character spreadsheet Iβm working on π
