I really like seeing your sad/tense expressions during the Agni Kai, because I feel like that's what they wanted to show with it with the score chosen for it. Although it is action packed (for ATLA) with beautiful scenes, it is a tragedy.

There’s a comic series that is literally the after story you want. It starts right after the finale and continues many new arcs. And the Legend of Korra is basically a “next generations” thing.

The reason why they didn’t answer what happened to Zuko’s mom was because they were saving it for an animated TV movie set after the finale. But after the live action movie performed so badly, Nickelodeon decided not to pursue the project. As a result, the creators wrote a comic book series explaining what happened to Zuko’s mom instead.
