Damn, either Ruth has a dark side we don't know about... Or she just gave someone a brutal beating and they succumbed to the injuries and their son is now seeking revenge?! Either way, I'm intrigued!

This is dark indeed. Just a guess. Maybe Ruth was in a boxing match in the past and her opponent may have died of injuries he or she received. A family member took up boxing and wants revenge on Ruth setting up a grudge match and her first defeat in the story. It’s probably something else but that seems logical to me. 😀
