People are finally listening to Trumps speeches and he doesn’t just stumble on words like Biden. Trump goes on tangents that make zero sense and you better believe he’s pissed about losing and will punish the middle and lower class even more. It's not that him not being more open about his stutter is making people think he's got dementia. He's been very open about it. It's the fact that our right wing propaganda media in fucking constantly screaming that he's got dementia with absolutely no basis for that accusation, and all the right wing assholes we have just use his stutter as a point in their confirmation bias about his supposed stutter. Biden stutters, but when you listen to him speak, he has long, coherent thoughts that are well structured and complex. And then you listen to Trump speak and he can't even finish one thought or answer a question before interrupting himself with an incoherent grunt about how he's the best boy, a very special boy, everyone is saying it, but they're very bad people who are trying to take away your toilets, you have to flush 7, 8 times. The fact that anyone in my country likes Trump is incomprehensible to me.

Biden has talked about the fact that he used to stutter, but claims that he has cured himself of it (or something like that) which is not really how it works. You can definitely use tools and strategies to minimise it, but never get rid of it. His weird speech pattern and mixing up words is very common when managing stuttering, and one tool commonly encouraged (at least here in Sweden's healthcare system) is that it's better to just say the wrong word and keep going because correcting can trigger the stutter even more. This knowledge makes so much more sense of his weird slip ups and I wish he could be more honest and explain this instead of letting everyone think he is showing signs of dementia (based only on his way to speak). It's could probably be internalised ableism, like seeing stuttering as a weakness a president shouldn't have. The world will be fucked if people rather vote trump instead of biden (lesser of two evil, but still) and all the dementia rumours might tip the scale for some.
