It’s accessed by linking your discord account to Patreon. If you go to settings from your account, there should be a tab that says “connected apps” and you should be able to link discord from there which will automatically pull you into the server. You may have to go to a dropdown menu that says “more” to find it depending on the device you’re using. This has to be done through the browser version of patreon, since it currently isn’t an option on the mobile app.

When I was about 12 and petsitting for a neighbor I was looking for the cat and when I looked under their bed there were not one, not two, but THREE shotguns. There are unfortunately a relatively high number of minors who have access to guns in the U.S. when compared to highly-developed nations, especially in areas that struggle with poverty as a result of decades of conservative policies and governance (democrat and republican). I’m not saying he addresses his intended audience in an appropriate or sane way at all, but the problem does exist. Two days ago, I believe, an 18 year old was killed (one day after her high school graduation) by her friend who was playing with an AR-15. Eric Adams is an absolute fucking clown, but the problem isn’t imaginary. Love you guys. Watching your videos helped me feel sane as a new Marxist (surrounded by actual fascist colleagues) that still had 2 years left on his Marine Corps contract after having witnessed firsthand the banal evil of the military industrial complex and the capital behind it. Led to more opportunity for abuse by staff as they saw us less as humans deserving of autonomy and hindered recovery of patients as we felt like we were trying to cling onto selfhood. While on more of an institutional level, I still think this is relevant. I spent time in the children's social care system here in the UK. I was subjected to regular searches of my room - mattress tossed on the floor and light fixings removed etc., every time I saw my family my belongings were searched and I was questioned, my person was searched at times, it was like Christmas if the police didn't turn up for a week. All this did was led us to be more secretive. You're searching my friends room? I'll take the drugs and hide them for him. The cops are here? I'll act as a distraction. What we needed was open and honest conversations - about substances, mental health, community, crime. Instead what we got was being treated as if we could never do anything right and could never be trusted. This led me to more and more dangerous paths. Crack at 15. Absconding and running from the cops. Countless mental health emergencies. The people I grew up with are dead, in prison, stuck in the cycle of addiction, homeless and/or working with me to take the local authority that 'cared' for us to court over admitted breaches of the human rights act. Treat kids like human beings and maybe they'll have a fighting chance in the world (and won't sue you when they are in a position to do so).
