Yeah, I cannot get the workaround to accept the language change as well. If it matters, which it seems to, I'm using the exe download not from the folder to run the game. It seems to just lock up playing from the folder.

i may be an idiot, but when i try to switch the language to Chinese it always just goes back to English mid-loading...

got it working. ty. Im just missing 2 images, 82 and 83. These must be the ones the team refers to and will come in future update. I will wait until the full game is released. Its looking great so far

I did, I ran into the same error even though I keep two separate files of chinese ver and English version, I used my cn save files and it is missing images 😅 whereas the English one would run into that f5 error. But I thought to wait patiently after seeing that the cruelworld team will patch it before trying again, as i didn't had time to speed run it. Seeing what shiroi akuma said is interesting though, wanted to try that to see if it works but I have a long work day today so I think the game will probably be patched till then. Hope it works for you in the meantime!

A workaround is to set the ingame language back to chinese and press f5 to reload when the main menu is chinese too then it is correct. Now copy and paste the save folder to the new version make sure main menu is chinese too. For some reason swapping language to chinese in new version with old savegames doesn't work. So use the old version to do that.
