As a cosplayer I often struggle between wanting to cosplay something that inspires me, versus cosplaying something popular and well known. What’s more important, wether a character suits me or wether a character is well known?
I want to do both in the coming year😊

Nice to see you may be doing Nefaria in the future. Dragalia Lost has lots of characters with unique designs and clothing, but so little cosplay of it.
It's an interesting game but the characters are so cute. Never seen any cosplay for it.

Maybe a mix of the two: alternate between ones that fit you and ones that are more recognizable.

If anything a character that your interested in I feel would be more important. I love learning about new characters and that’s one of the best ways

Go for the characters that you enjoy the most. Going for the norm is nice & all, but if a cosplayer doesn't necessarily enjoy said character, then it wouldn't do for a genuine experience (if that makes any sense).

If you do start playing, I'd love to add you. Regardless, I wish you luck in getting Nefaria. <3 She's a good girl. Also, my personal opinion... Cosplayers shine brightest when they enjoy the character they're cosplaying versus doing it because its popular. Both can be good, mind you.
