I definitely enjoyed Ivy’s background and how they ended up in that town. I also like Clark’s reaction to it. I definitely understand more of why Zoge had offered to wear diapers as punishment so long ago as I’m sure it was a common punishment in her home country, even if it was only common to punish children with it. I’m very curious how things at school will be. Especially for Tracy and how Clark will interact with Ivy and Zoge. So many moving parts. So many different relationships. I love. You do a good job of it.

I completely agree

As others have said, I'm so glad to see this chapter not only because it has been a while but because it is a sign of your recovery. Clark's reaction to Ivy's devastating life story is perfect: he knows what a jackass he has too often been and now understands that sometimes others have it much worse than he ever did. I think the section with Cassie's family seems intended to show that Amazon-like prejudices are everywhere, in every group, and might therefore (if he really considers it) be more understandable...especially when he has Yamotoan prejudice to compare them to. Great chapter!

This may be an unpopular opinion but I actually think Mrs. Zoge did the right thing. She protected her daughter from getting mentally regressed to oblivion and, when they moved away from Yamatoa she could've easily made Ivy venture out into the world and get a job since she was literally 21 years old, but that would be far more cruel than treating her like a toddler/preschooler. Think about it this way, they get to the DD version of America and they see all these Littles being "adults" for lack of a better word. Even if Mrs. Zoge wasn't completely brainwashed into seeing her daughter as nothing more than a four year old, the normal population of Littles had a huge headstart compared to Ivy. How would anyone even expect her to function independently? I hope that Clark eventually reaches that conclusion for himself. It may not be fair that Ivy wasn't allowed to grow up, but it would be a thousand times more unfair if Ivy was allowed to get a job only to be adopted, torn from her biological parents, and forced to live out the rest of her life at a stage less than where she currently is.

So glad this popped up in my email today and reread it a few times!! Good conversations all around. Clark and Melony, Clark and Janet and then all three. So the monitor worked the whole time but because he wouldn’t say “mommy” she really didn’t hear all those “I hate yous.” I do agree it is messed up what happened to Ivy but her family also didn’t know any better. Clark I can see not benefiting from being the class for so long as he is still intact unlike Ivy. Or they might have to let him do other things as well when they get there. Great chapter! This made my weekend!

Always makes my day when a new chapter of Unfair is added. Great chapter as always!

This was a happy surprise to see and to read.

:)

Well worth the wait! I always figured the reason Clark was having trouble telling Janet he hated her was because deep down he stopped hating her. Hopefully Clark will be able to get people to stop being mean to Ivy.

I'm recovering. Won't be 100% until January. But thank you. :)

Thank you for the new chapter, and your time. I love the story! I hope you're feeling well.

When you think about it, Clark basically was the janitor at the puppy mill, by his in-law's standards. (or any little's). Sure you may not be helping with the dirty work, but you know what goes on there, you're going to get judged. Frankly the fact that Clark was ever accepted or allowed to socialize with his in-laws is a nice show of tolerance. But I suppose Littles are used to putting up with a lot of things they don't like. And now we finally have the mystery of the baby monitor scratched off. We are running out of deep mysteries in "unfair" left to solve. Glad to see this return.

Sure explains her resistance when he was telling her what he thought at the beginning. Talk about a whole lot of wasted effort! Glad to see a new chapter! Hope you're recovering well at this point!
