Janet should have stuck for Clark on the last encounter with Forrest. While this action was still a positive in winning over Clark, I think her showing more concern early on would have been better.

Sorry I’m late to the party but now that I’ve finally read this I have to say it. She should’ve gotten the real one crammed down her throat. Maybe several. I don’t like her very much.

It was only mentioned very briefly but now I need more Amazon Greek myths. Like, how does the story of Arachne or Atalanta or the legend of the Trojan war go if the gods are the gown ups and the mortals are littles like I think you were implying?

No spoilers

Is Mommy Janet gonna start looking for a possible new Daddy for Clark?

I like the "adults" almost as much as the Littles in this story. They get their moments.

Awesome! Way to go Beouf on using the video knowing that the kids hate it and great job with Momma showing Raine who is in charge! But I do wonder how the weekend will go…does Clark get to meet Grandma and Grandpa?

As long as you're enjoying the ride! :)

I'm still with those who tell you that this is the story that I wait all week for. I know that, with a title like "Unfair" and a setting like the DD, it is highly unlikely for Clark to find salvation here, but I can't help hoping...and it's fun seeing him discover that not all amazons are monsters (at least not all the time).

I hope you'll like it. Getting a real one was a possibility, but office politics are still a thing.

You got it in one! Thank you for noticing the terrible terrible joke! I wanted it be '80s' ish.

“Hi kids! It’s your old pals Newton and Olivia!” The cameraman must be John...

I'm disappointed that she didn't give her the real one... but I think it made the point. Clark might have ended up in the easiest solution he could have. I was thinking you had to be coming to the end of this part soon based on the length of the others. Curious to see what the next part brings!

A fun part of writing is playing with the time and scale of it. That first couple of months that happened 28 chapters in allowed for lots of time skips because well...when you're in a routine a lot seems to go by fast. A lot of the everyday stuff doesn't seem very important and so you only write down what sticks out. Now though, Clark is in new situations all the time. He's having tons of "firsts" or "second firsts" as the case may be. Going through lots of interactions that are unique and poignant to him looking back either because he'd never experienced them before or because they have deeper meaning to his situation down the road. I don't think I'm spoiling anything when I say to expect gradual time skips as he gets more "used" to certain things.

Janet tends to be very sincere. Always has been. Considering how Clark thinks and he doesn't always feel he has that luxury it can be a source of friction.

Glad you're enjoying it, and yeah. Every now and then Janet gets it right.

It's interesting how the first 28 chapters of the story span just over a year, and the second 28 (well 31 actually) span just over a week. I really like Part 5. After a string of unrelenting defeats and humiliations, it's nice seeing Clark able to rack up small victories. You do a really great job undermining our expectations: Clark gets great at emotional manipulation, until Bouef recognizes and shuts him down. He foments a classroom rebellion, until his classmates crack under the smallest pressure. Clark keeps being underestimated, but he keeps underestimating Bouef right back. He's gotta step up his game, but can he do it in time? Going by the end, it's pretty clear Clark's on a timer: he can make the Amazons' lives miserable, but they're going to adapt, find ways of winning him over. It's not just Janet: when one of the few ways Clark can empower himself is by sucking on a paci, of course he's going to use it more. Clark should be careful: all the Amazons have to do is run out the clock. Sorry I haven't commented as much but I love this story and hit the heart every week. Thank you! 💜

That was a great chapter, I said it before Janet really does love Clark and is not going to let anyone hurt him if she can stop it. That was a classic example of a mom going mama bear on someone to let them know not to mess with her baby.

The Slavin

So glad to see this chapter. Janet really knew what to do that time to make it up to Clark. I wonder what the meetings were about

I wasn't planning on a break, to be honest.

*begrudgingly slides one bead over* Janet gets one "good" for that. And also yay i actually predicted some kind of confrontation like this. Janet truly is trying in this unfair world. It's too hard to either like or hate her. You've really been cranking these out weekly. I'm assuming now that you've ended a section here their may be a break?
