is it bad that i want to BE clark :P i think if i was in this realm i would find a hot amazon daddy and make a deal that i would accept diapers and bottles etc as long as i could hang on to a few adult things

I freaking love this chapter! So cute, and it seems like they're all finally starting to have good experiences together again! It reminds me of the time Clark first met Amy at the zoo, where he was having a good time until he saw and figured out that all of Amy's old co-workers just treating her like any other baby. He was having some degree of fun back then and let himself ruin it so he could go back to "hating" his Mommy. This time he actually wants to try and have fun in the spirit of the festival and this time it's the bad Amazons in his life preventing it. Great chapter as always Pers!

I have often wondered about Clark and his situation at the time of his writing this story and always assumed it included his freedom. Reading your comment made me realize that that may not be the case. Perhaps he has only negotiated greater freedoms and access to write under pseudonym while still largely under the household rules of Janet or Giant rules at large.

The fun part about writing this is I got to hint at it several chapters ago.

I legit can't tell if you think that's a good thing or a bad thing, lol.

I honestly don't know what to think. Clark is obviously writing all of this in some future time as he looks back on everything. I think something significant has got to change in order for him to get there, whether it means actual freedom or not. There have also been a few hints about a developing connection—physical AND emotional—between him and Janet. I'm fascinated about where that could go. In any case, I'm glad we seem to be past Angry Clark; he was not a nice character. Thanks for this enjoyable chapter, which TBH I did not expect after the very long finale of New Narnia. :-)

I liked this chapter. There are plot driven chapters and there are cute chapters. This chapter is a bit of both but I’m delighted by the cuteness of this chapter! I’m glad Perse decided to keep the kangaroo costume for someone. I was low key crushed when Clark said no to it but I am delighted that Amy kept it. I’ve noticed that Amy has been having a larger role lately and it reminds me of Janet taking interest on how they got Amy to behave. Since Clark has been submitting lately, I’m guessing they are doing it to him. I wonder what it is…

As always, i love your writing style as much as I do the characters and their stories. The subtle distinctions you make between basic carnival games vs a bouncy house for example: “I wanted to do something designed for the young at heart instead of the smooth of brain!” What a treat to find such a lengthy installment of Unfair this evening:)

Ghosthunters! Yep omg I love it. I did that myself last year. 😁. This chapter was super special I love it

I feel like Tracy has been forced to volunteer somewhere and hopefully someone will tell the higher off about it. However higher might be getting told off regarding the bounce house as well right now. I like the update and how Amy included Ivy. Clark might look to gain Ivy’s trust so he can escape but who knows how that would work. Looking forward to more!

I’m scared to see what Tracy has undoubtedly been forced to wear during this time. The first thing I thought of when I realized what Janet’s costume was, I was curious how she planned on getting out of it to go potty lol Then I got to thinking about if I was an Amazon teacher there I’d wear something hard to get out of and bulky just so I could wear a think diaper under it so no one would notice lol I can’t wait to see what happens next. I don’t see Clark getting away. I am sure he will try one day, he might even succeed for a time but he’ll either be caught by some unsavory characters or something similar before finally being reunited with Janet.

"Couldn't leave my kids or Tracy to Ambrose's continued abuse. I couldn't properly ghost this place when I still had unfinished business to settle." Clark is never escaping. He plans for escape the same way a four year old daydreams about running away. Settle in baby, you're in for the long haul.

I think maybe I misread the line about a school board official looking for reelection

I didn't mean to imply that Helena is school board. She's just an angry parent.

Well, that felt very chaotic right at the end. I guess that was the point. I don't know what it was about this chapter, I felt like I had to re-read sections a couple times. My lack of focus aside, It was an enjoyable chapter, that I honestly expected to be many more chapters than just 1 or 2. Well timed considering it's september when you're publishing this. I'm starting to see the seeds of Ivy being the literal "key" to success here for an escape attempt. I didn't think you'd actually invoke the Karen name but it's exactly what I thought, and it was a great scene. I don't remember Helena being a member of the school board. But at this point I need to read the whole thing again. It should seem obvious in hindsight how much Clark was counting on his supposed "support" system to get him out of this situation, explaining why he thought he'd be gone by now. To his credit I think he'd doing just fine. Hell if he broke out by this world's equivalent of christmas I'd consider him doing pretty well, though a winter escape would be super risky. he also might not have the 5ish more months it would take to wait till spring. he'll be too comfortable by then. At this rate anyway.
