Loved this first episode... been saving them up to binge! I think the current pride flag still has indigo in it... the original flag designed by Gilbert Baker has pink and turquoise in but they were removed due to issues manufacturing those colours. The original was commissioned by Harvey Milk (I love geeky facts about queer history)

I need you two to know that this entire show was created because the writer read in a Blackbeard biography that the Gentlemen Pirate (who was never a prolific or good captain by reputation) was seen on Blackbeards ship wearing a robe walking about and reading books. And there was no reason or story why these two would even be friends or coworkers much, but there he was, Stede Bonnet, in a robe, with books, hanging out with Blackbeard all the time... so he wrote the show to fill in what he believed, were the blanks LOL

To add, there are after credit scenes in each S2 episode (some are quite funny). Zheng Yi Sao was a real pirate (later in history than Stede and Blackbeard), considered the most successful pirate in history by many.

This is a nice way to spend Monday morning. Yes wearing an eyepatch changes one’s whole visual perception. Peripheral vision is lost. I recently had to wear a patch for a couple of days (not as a pirate) and it was no fun.
