Ok, but I actually doubt the "real" sequel will ever get adapted into anime since it was cancelled...and I love Vivio and Vivid Strike(especially Vivid Strike.) So whatever haha

Err, WHERE? I dont recall that at all. In fact they are portrayed as extremly powerful girls who achieve great things. Its my fav ever magical girl show. Symphogear, in fact nearly any other show has more sexual content than nanoha lol. If you mean the new modern seasons they are NOTHING to do with the origional 3 seasons. They are spin offs

holy crap I totally forgot about this show, Tee has to watch this at some point(if he hasn't watched it already) because it's one of the few good Mahou Shoujo after Madoka that is really good.

Please give Kemono no Souja Erin a chance, maybe check out the trailer at least. Its probably the most recent anime that gave me the old school vibe, seirei no moribito/juuni kokki/shin seikai yori type of vibe and world building. Well, the director did work on some 80s anime projects.

I approve Sven's suggestion of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha(5 seasons as of now), although the later have a little bit of ecchi with lolis, all seasons are amazing and it is a nice ride overall. I also suggest Seitokai Yakuindomo(2 seasons tv and almost a season and half of OVAs) which is not an action anime but is amazing, a great comedy and Oshiete Galko-chan(1 short season + 1 OVA)which is a short anime and is also quite fun.

I loved it back then, but it's hard for me to recommend it now because of the sexualization of 9 year old girls. It's so cringy for me now

I suggest Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha as it also has Nana Mizuki in it for the main cast and als Op singer :) Really nice show that also comes with good themes

"Let's create a future with the light even gods don't know" was a line in the original version of that song 'Gyakkō no Flügel' (Backlit Wings) from S1 and was also carried over into the final version 'Ashita e no Flügel' (Wings That Fly Towards Tomorrow) that was used as the closing song of XV.

Couple of interesting trivia thing you may have missed: a) Metanoia backwards is Ai no tame (For the sake of love) if you use the kana spelling. b) "Let's create a future with the light even gods don't know" is a line from Nijiiro no Flugel (Seven colored angel), a song from back in G. c) Miku's name is spelled the same as Mirai (Future): 未来
