Again Casper rolls a 20 in accidental perception. Dear Peggy is our Elpenor lmfaooo
Toga_UwU
Same 😂 it’s one of my friends and my favorite things to say to minor inconveniences
Olubunmilayo Akinwande
I'm really late in answering but people in this fandom keep killing Peggy before her time. Peggy dies in 1801, just before another prominent character. Remember, we are told that Eliza "can't take another heartbreak." That is why Eliza is already dressed in black in the next scene before the other character passes.

I was hoping for a Miracle Max/Princess Bride reference during the "partially dead" bit.

I mean it wasn't exactly cheating in TO considering their wasn't consent, js

EPIC’s There Are Other Ways is Hamilton’s Say No To This! Except Odysseus actually said no (in EPIC specifically) haha

I may be getting my facts wrong but I'm pretty sure at some point Angelica did punch Thomas Jefferson in the face
Kory Misun
Casper's face falling, from a big smile to just this look of tragedy, I felt so bad.

Peggy died from tb from what I remember. So, in act 2, she has already passed

Mortius, please tell Casper (without spoiling anything for him) that with his theory about rapping, he should keep in mind something - Eliza MOSTLY sings, but she also beatboxes to support Phillip as he raps. I think he could have an amazing connection much later in the musical with this.

My husband watched this with me and immediately asked after Take A Break, "Did my man just turn down a threesome with his wife and her sister?" And that is my headcannon now. Terribly ironic considering what happened next. 🤣

The guy playing James Reynolds also played Phillip Schuyler (Angelica & Eliza's father). Very interesting that he both gives his helpless daughter(Eliza) away to Hamilton, then gives his helpess wife(Mariah) away to Hamilton 👀...
Griffin
Second this!!!

Haha I have jokes like that too Mortius so you're good lol And I believe the pause after "Angelica, Eliza...the Schuyler sisters." is actually, quote me if I'm wrong, implying that Peggy actually passed away by this point. I think history mentioned Peggy passed away first before her other sisters but I could be wrong. It makes sense tho since the actress plays the other char anyway so I think it's fitting for this musical at least And that's a good comparison Casper with Damien's daughter from Arrow! Yes I can def see what you mean lol Odysseus would never do what Hamilton did so guess that's 1 point over him lol now Mortius mention of Hamilton during Epic reaction with Casper that started this collab has came back full circle lol
Megan the Librarian
I think he may also have been the doctor during 10 Duel Commandments
Megan the Librarian
Why would you say this now when they haven't gotten there yet??
Ace Trainer Aster
Genuinely, me and my friends will constantly make "this is a hate crime/homophobic" jokes about everything, all the time. You can absolutely make those jokes lol
Anon E. Mouse
"If she sounded like that in history, I don't hold it against him." I feel exactly the same way about Luke Holt's Zeus.
Kerri Kortness
My wife and I (both children of divorce) constantly make jokes about divorce over like bad puns or the tiniest little inconvenience.

My friends and I throwing "this is homophobic" at any minor inconvenience be like (we're all queer)

Just learned from your other videos you both havent seen Tick Tick Boom on Netflix.... Yes it's the best modern movie musical. Yes it's better than La LA Land. Yes, it's directed by Lin Manuel Miranda. Yes you should watch it on this channel together.... k thx.

Fun fact! Angelica Schuyler did not need a middleman to talk to Jefferson. She had a long and friendly correspondence with him that I think started when Jefferson was in France. So when she’s advising Hamilton to get through to Jefferson, she’s doing it as a mutual friend, trying to help him actually connect with his nemesis. Going back to Angelica’s comment to Eliza from Helpless, “if you really loved me you would share him” is historically accurate, we still have the letter between them where Angelica said that to her sister. Whether that was sibling banter, some jealousy (Angelica’s husband was canonically No Fun), or a latent admission of romantic interest is lost to history. This is also the origin of the meme “stop comma sexting my sister!”

Have a great vacay Casper.
Phoenix Mackenzie
Yes! I love that detail about Macbeth!!
Phoenix Mackenzie
Oh? Agreed 🤣 It's hilarious watching people see that as an ace🤣
Phoenix Mackenzie
We've been asking that for a bit especially after the pregnancy thing
Phoenix Mackenzie
Me and a group of friends are the exact same🤣
Kory Misun
I'm trans, my dear brother's gay, and he does the hate crime joke when I ask if he needs the bathroom before I shower. That's just one example. You're cool, Mortius! We accept you.
Itzayana
Wait- the Shakespeare and Hamilton connection took me out😨 Casper, what ARE you?!???
J
His point is mute when he cheats on Eliza
Geveryging
Yea there were 7 Skylar sisters but only 3 were important so probably
Dorian Venta
Ok so just remembered that this existed and mortius if you haven't seen then you and Casper need to both react to it which is say no to this during a halloween rehearsal where Mariah Reynolds actress is in a bacon costume. It is hilarious and it would be awesome to see you guys react as just a small thing.
draeonic 🪼
Oohhh the die cast on Philip just made me realize something I somehow never noticed before Also: "that's a hate crime" type jokes are fairly prominent, I think you're fairly safe with your queer audience at least (And last: she comes at me with that voice and that dress, I'm asking forgiveness Odysseus-style)
aj knows
So a slight spoiler kinda There is a Macbeth curse in theater and most just call it the scottish play. And after saying the name Hamiltons live start falling apart
Alex Gukgak
The actor for James Reynolds I believe was also the Schuyler sisters’ father? Though he didn’t have any lines if I recall correctly, so his voice wouldn’t be familiar

Peggy died before act 2, I think, that's what I heard through the grapevine
Bridget Beachley

MJ

Bridget Beachley

Bridget Beachley
Oooo open arms cover???? Tell me more!

Peggy died young, that's why she's not in the second act 😭
Ashes2Ash
SO EXCITED for the next reaction set!!! Quite literally my favorite song from the soundtrack outside of some of the later ones!
Ashes2Ash
I'm honestly hoping that you guys at least listen to Congratulations. It's a cut song from later in Act 2, but it's SOOOO good and I really wish it was still in the soundtrack.
