i find it ironic that in my youth i was all about copying the manga style. now i just hope it does not pigeon hole me

🤔👍 seems to work fine for me. Easily recognisable even at first glance, somewhat exaggerated, but within cartoonish canons, well defined in the volume and shading even with these quick strokes. I did notice that when you're not retracing 3d stuff your art has a very "manga" feel. It's very nice.
