Tigers carry a lot of weight and she may be twice his (conservative and pouncing in the middle of his back may do unexpected damage (break it or something else) Pouncing at the shoulders should be rough enough for this new partner she's sizing up.

The one where he gets pounced at the loins feels like she wants to play rough. The one where she pounces him at the shoulder feels like she's just being playful. I can tell you i like her more playful, but it all depends on the story you wish to tell. If she's the one who likes it rough and demands the same from her partner... then go for the loins shot.
