Huge Quest Poll - The Dungeonmaster & Her Assistant

First of all, I'm really glad that everyone seems to be happy with how the poll results were handled! When things are close as that, it really does feel off giving it to one thing or another, so there's really no choice but to come to a compromise. Does it mean that I'll do every time it comes that close? Probably, honestly! Adding two characters is always better than adding one, especially when you're forming a whole location around them. But I suppose we'll see how things go.
Anyway! Keeping rambling to a minimum, this is a poll that'll decide the relationship between our female dungeon master and her male assistant.
First up - some general details about them. The female dungeon master is going to be an older woman - somewhere in her mid forties. Like I said before, she's travelled and been around the block more than a few times, so... it wouldn't make sense for her to be any younger than that. Her male assistant, on the other hand, is going to be somewhere in his mid twenties.
I have a few different ideas on how these characters could have been related - but in the end I settled on two. I'll run through them. Then you pick your favourite! That's how a poll works, right?
These are just rough vibes for now but there will be a follow up poll on Saturday where I'll let you guys choose from something more specific depending on which one of these wins!
Couple
They're a couple! Romantic. They sex! There's an age difference between them of about twenty years, but, they're both clearly adults, so, it's nothing too scandalous!
Whether they're boyfriend or girlfriend or husband and wife or just fuck buddies will be decided in another poll if this one wins. Obviously things are always going to be a bit weird because she's his boss and he's her apprentice and... you know, that might be a fun romantic dynamic to explore.
Obviously this relationship will be sexual so maybe expect some sexual things, and, y'know, they probably eat stuff together too.
Maternal
A maternal and (at least somewhat) protective relationship wherein the dungeon master cares for her assistant in a manner similar to a mother.
Like the last option, the exact nature of this maternal relationship will be determined by a follow up poll if this one wins. For example - she might literally be his Mom - or she might be his Auntie - or she might not be related to him at all, he could've just been some orphan kid that she found on the side of the road.
One thing that I want to note is even if they're not directly related then this will not be a sexual relationship and there will be no sex. That doesn't mean that they won't vore together, of course - it just means, y'know, nothing frisky.

I'll let this poll run until Saturday and then depending on what wins I'll fire up another poll to determine the specifics of whatever vibe won. After that we'll do a disposition poll for the dungeonmaster and then we'll figure out what sorta species these two are. Between that, vignettes, stories! And, at the end of the month... a big update featuring Gianna.

That was one the reasons why I was drawn to the option, yeah! It'd be nice to have a relationship that looks a little off on the surface due to the age difference but in reality it actually turns out to be (fairly) normal and well functioning. They'll probably have their problems (who doesn't) but in this early stage of thinking them out I do see them as being a fairly happy if slightly odd couple!

The couple intruiges me because I've realized I don't think we've seen a loving couple before. There's been Claire and Janice and Oscar and Hannalore who were flirty but not explicitly involved, and there's been the rough sight of Tia and the big horse who's name I'm blanking on, but never just... A happy couple of bigs? I'm probably forgetting something but it's my thought.
