Well, today I sampled Kilbeggan Single Grain, which was very interesting. At first, I loved the beginning, but the finish was a bit rough with a strong after taste that I really can't describe. I guess, I will get better at this with more experience. But after the third taste, it really grew on me. So overall, I would say I like it. It's a bit stronger than I prefer, but enjoyable.
This Single grain Irish whiskey, is made using an exacting mashbill of 94% corn and 6% malted barley. It's described as light & easy going. My tastebuds don't agree with that, but I'm pretty inexperienced. Cheers!
Notes from Master of Malt:
Nose: Sponge cake, apricot, icing sugar.
Palate: Buttery at first, before biscuit sweetness and a hint of nutmeg spiciness appears.
Finish: Fizzy oak, lime peel and vanilla.

Beautiful tumblers. Enjoy your critiques, but my palate isn’t as refined as yours, evidently. I haven‘t seen this whiskey where I live but will keep an eye out for it. So far, all of the Jameson brands rule the day...

Love a lady that enjoys whisky. Don’t see many women that enjoy it, especially getting into it and trying to pick out flavors. I’m working on trying to pick out more flavors, myself. Others seem to get more than I do.
