First, I had no idea what a Cooper or croze was. So in case you don't know either, a Cooper is a highly skilled craftsman that makes the casks & barrels. Croze is the groove at either end of the staves of a barrel or cash, into which the edge of the head fits. It's also the name for the tool used by a Cooper for cutting such a groove.
In this whiskey, Jameson's Head Cooper, Ger Buckley, used single pot still whiskey from both first fill and second fill bourbon casks, as well as sherry casks, while the grain component was matured in virgin American oak.
I enjoyed it and I appreciated it even more that I got to learn about the process of making it. I drank it neat, but Mr. Buckley likes to drink it "with a cut of water."
Here are some notes from Master of Malt:
Nose: Soft vanilla and burnt sugar (on the verge of chocolatey), pear drops and a hint of floral sawdust.
Palate: White chocolate and cinnamon. More floral notes, greengage, a waft of raisin and pepper.
Finish: Charred oak and barley.

Thank you Ray! That is a good question. I would say I like Jameson Black Barrel better, but I would probably have to sample them together to be sure.

Insatiable... seriously, can you get any more seductive? The best.

How do they compare to either regular Jameson or Jameson Black whichI normally drink? And you look great as always.
