I genuinely love the meta of this series, because of the implication that all coffee shop AUs ever all occur in the same universe. Like people who should have been Legendary Heroes and Villains in other realities just gravitate towards coffee in universes where their Destiny(tm) has been derailed somehow. Like it's a pan-universal law that people who aren't living in their own Alpha timeline subconsciously seek out coffee to fill the void. Coffee becomes synonymous with doomed timelines.
