Ah yeah, I only meant in the sense that, they both have nightmares and hallucination-like experiences; I didn't borrow the technical aspects, just more of the aesthetic (which kind of feels shitty to say speaking to someone who has these experiences, I hope this isn't wildly offensive). Thanks!
I don't even call this borrowing from Will Graham, since it's not really related to what he does. Hypnagogic hallucinations are totally a thing (I have them too, associated with narcolepsy). People who have them often don't like to mention them for fear of being labelled as mentally ill, so I think it's really cool that you reference them, and a little bit amusingly ironic under the circumstances.
