The Black Lamb - Preview
🕑 Added 2018-08-08 17:00:59 +0000 UTC | Previews 2 ->Heyyy everyone~ So, back in June I made a post explaining that I needed to start something new soon for the fancomic tier, and that it would not be a continuation of A Study in Black like I once promised; I took to heart a lot of the feedback from that thread, and I hope that most of you will be happy with the work that I'm planning to do with it.
I've titled it "The Black Lamb", in which Will is a witch recruited to help track a supernatural new killer, Hannibal works for the FBI as an expert in supernatural psychology, and their relationship is very slow burn until it's very abruptly not ;;;) It's roughly set in the same universe as A Study in Black, but I'm aiming for a more serious tone, so I'm not sure there will be any actual crossover. Since I was working on The Heretic's Tongue as I was writing it, there was a lot of influence going both ways, so if you enjoyed that one, I hope you will enjoy this one :))
So a little bit of bad news; the script is complete but I'm still wrestling with some details in the editing process, and so I'm not sure if I will be able to start posting pages next week, but I'll have SOMETHING for you next week. This week I'm focusing on finalizing the script and working on page thumbnails. I will keep you guys updated, but I hope you enjoy this little preview for now! Please feel free to share your feedback~
Oh PS! I also floated the idea of having NSFW content in this comic and on this tier, and there seemed to be positive response, so yes, there will be nsfw content. It will be awhile before that happens and I'm still deciding how to handle it, re: censored click through or not censored~ But just a heads up!

I'm thinking about doing a treatment similar to A Study in Black where the pages are black and white with an accent color, but instead of pink I'm thinking of using orange and yellow :) I will see how it looks in the first few pages and maybe adjust if I don't dig it~

I'm so on board with this!! I love the concept, Will's outfit is absolutely gorgeous and his tattoos are just the cherry on top! I'm curious about Hannibal 's role, will it be evil or not? Undercover cannibal or distinguished expert in supernatural forces? I can't wait to find out!

I actually have a few older tutorial/WIP progress posts about how I'm making comics; I stopped doing a lot of WIP and tutorial stuff awhile ago because they were a lot of work and I wasn't sure that many folks were enjoying them lol. I am so freaking pumped for this!!! The story sounds awesome (Will as a witch is everything I didn't know I needed) and the designs are spectacular (dem tattoos!! and his kit!!). Take as long as you need, because I know it will be worth it, as your work always is.

I am rather new to your patreon and was wondering if you have ever showed your process of creating a Comic? I would love to see the steps it takes and the thought process that goes into these beauties. Like how you create the script and how you decide certain things like camera angles or when to use more panels and when less etc.
