Not just French food, lots of countries avoid all spice. Gordon Ramsey will turn red in the face from too much black pepper. Is black pepper even remotely spicy? Sure, I've eaten reapers, scorpions and ghost peppers whole so I am spice crazy but black pepper isn't hot.

The scene with the business cards always kills me. Like guys, they're virtually identical 😆 and Patrick is just crestfallen when his card doesn't measure up. Also, a nice lapin au poivre with a mountain of crispy fries is one of my favorite ways to eat rabbit- only when I procure it myself. Mr. L. Boyd is a man of discerning taste.
