Jenni is the product of the abuse she went through as a child. Its easy to sit back and judge and say they could do this they could do that. All that being said, I had a friend who went through what she went through and I did cut them off when I felt I exhausted all resources trying to help them. But I still wont let anyone else just straight up shit on them in front of me. Eventually they got better and we made up, unfortunately they passed away from the consequences of the choices they made in life. One of the reasons I've only watched this movie twice once was on video years ago and then your reaction.

I think you missed some subtly at the end... when first joins the cold on the floor, when they fish, etc.. they show they both have some of the same mannerisms.. implying he's the biological father... though I whole heartily that she was garbage. I also have a weird look on her, as her story reminds me of my own mother's.. Oh and the author of the book goes on to say in a later interview, Jenny expired of hepatitis

All of those are not advertiser friendly words. When someone says those words, the videos can be limited in reach, monetization or even age restricted and all of the limitations affect the channel in the long run. Unless you're one of the golden children of Youtube.

Hey MrLBoyd, honest question: why do you use euphemisms for so many words like "war", "kill", "dead", "prostitute", etc. These words are all about things that are negative in some way but they're not inherently offensive words to say, nor are they curse words. Do those words affect how the YouTube algorithm decides to distribute your content? Not a complaint, just something curious I've noticed about you that I've never seen other content creators do.

you're not a bad person. Jenny made some awful decisions and Forrest was too good for her. My wife actually hates this movie because she cannot stand what happens as far as Forrest settling for her.

I think when Forrest started his cross country running, that was his way of processing his grief and sense of loss over the death of his mother, along with the hurt and confusion of Jenny leaving again after he asks her to marry him. In a real way, he didn't know what to do with himself for the first time in his life, and his future seemed uncertain. But, he understood on some level that he had to keep on moving. He had to get through the pain and uncertainty, and he did that the only way that he knew how to do- Running. Although this time, instead of running away from what happened, he was running toward whatever comes next. And once he felt like he was ready to move on from that pain and uncertainty, having worked through it for all that time, he returned home. That's my opinion, at least.

She had a really bad start. Statistically, your chances of having a good life decreases if you’re born into poverty and trauma. She also managed to turn it around in the end. She was running from herself all her life.

Yea to ne she represents a cycle that always happens in life. Some POS does something to a child and turns them into a POS and then they do something to someone. Luckily Forrest's mind was too pure for her to corrupt thus breaking the cycle in this scenario. Also the fact that little Forrest seems completely alright and will be raised by the better parent.

Jeeny was definitely a toxic person throughout Forest life, regardless of what she went through, Forest didn't deserve what she did. But I do believe that he was hes kid, they try to show it by him repeting Forest's manerism, like when they show the 2 of them tilting the head to the side when watching TV together, or when they were fishing. I thinks it was a way to show us that he was actually hes son, not that this in real life would mean anything, but in cinema language i believe that this was what they were doing.

One of the best movies ever made forrest is amazing and believe me ur not the only one who felt that way about jenny she gets a ton of hate from people. The actor who played lieutenant dan is a huge supporter for injured vets and has done a ton of work for them since he made the movie. And when it comes to the running scene he says that his momma always told him u had to put the past behind u to see where u were going and he says I think that is what my running days was all about. It was him putting all of the pain that he went through in his life from losing Bubba his mom and then Jenny that was his coping mechanism. The majority of this movie was filmed in Carolina even the Vietnam scenes him on the bench is in Georgia.
