Top 5 horror/thriller movies I'd love to to see you react to: 1. Insidious 2. Cabin in the woods 3. Texas chainsaw massacre (2003 remake) 4. I am Legend (this is probably just a great film as opposed to a horror movie but definitely has some jump scares) 5. Get out (not a horror movie either but depends on who you ask because it definitely has some scary elements LOL) I'll admit most people probably wouldn't classify the last two movies I named as official horror movies but they are still two amazing movies that I would love to see your reaction for. Plus they definitely still have some "jump scares" in the mix just not as much horror as the first three movies I listed.

this was the first horror movie I watched when I younger, I watched it with my mom and brother in our apartment off of Redbox. I barely remember the movie from then but I remember the setting. I also drove past the tx massacre house irl in San Antonio I belive
trueyinyang
the budget was 140,000 USD
Jenna96
yes! that would be a wild ride for sure to witness you take in that movie! lol
Amy Lowery
I would love to see your reaction to the movie “The Account “.
Rana
I legit muted it for a good portion for the last bit of the reaction.

No Trespassing. Violators will be eaten.

For sure but the family doesn’t have to focus on her in that way, because the filmmaker has framed her for the viewer in that light. She’s the “innocent” vs the more promiscuous Kirk’s gf.
Samuel Avetisyan
1:15-1:30 was nothing but screaming i just couldn't any more i had to stop, im 100% sure there was alot more after lol i never understood how this was a cult classic

A fantastic reaction Sir!!! I was so glad to see you just mostly enjoy the film. There is soooo very much behind the scenes , and factoids about it , that I will not make a long ass comment. Many great making of's , etc. are out there to watch and learn cool facts. As for sequels , remake's etc , I enjoy all but part 4 , 2017 , and 2022. Yo have ticked another Reactor Bingo Card slot with this one Sir. And I thank you for sharing this with us. Peace
Madmanmarz1981
I do agree , however , in this film , to "The Family" she is non-sexual. Just meat , just food. The same as all the rest. Mindless , dumb cattle.
Madmanmarz1981
TY Mr. Clifton!!!! 110% "Sally , Stop , I hear somethin...." *The sound of thousands of fan's yelling in delight of his deletion!!
Drewcliff82
Yes!!!!! Skip the 80s and 90s ones and go straight to 03. Then watch the rest from there.
Drewcliff82
Franklin may be the only guy in a wheelchair that if someone just walked up and front kicked his stupid face I'd be like "Meh". Then I picture him falling and squirming around on the ground making that stupid noise like he was to the people upstairs. 😂🤣😅🤣😂
Madmanmarz1981
Ok, HUGE suprise Sir. In my Top 5 Horror. The 2nd horror film I have seen over 100 times.(1st was NOTLD '68) Great and interesting comments from folks on this one as well. As usual , Sparkin up ,cold beer , and a whole buncha excitement! BTW , Franklin is my all time winner for Most Annoying Character EVER!!! I always rewatch his uh , deletion 2 or 3 times after it happens. Just makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Ok.....It's BBQ time!!

Also yes there’s a remake of this movie from 2003 with a lot more meat on its bones. More story bigger budget more elaborate characters and ending. If it’s what you’re looking for as you suggest it’s a pretty interesting watch
Madmanmarz1981
They also used Eddie (lol) as the basis for Norman Bates , Buffalo Bill , a character in AHS , with a great honorable mention line from Patrick Bateman . But TCM got the skins , "artwork" , the grave robbing , and of course the cannibalism down very well. Peace
Madmanmarz1981
I second that emotion. Been hoping he would watch that.
Drewcliff82
So there is a part 2 that came out in 86, part 3 in 90 and part 4 in 1995 . You can watch those if you want. Each one is a bit different. 2003's "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is where it gets really good. Then you have "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre the Beginning" in 2006, "Texas Chainsaw" 3D in 2013, "Leatherface" in 2017 and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" 2022. My recommendation is to skip to the 2003 movie and do the rest from there. You will like those a lot more.
Drewcliff82
That scene at the end when he was spinning around with the chainsaw is so iconic.

Love the movies. But this one was really bad
Drewcliff82
When the hitchhiker gets out and kicks the van you can also see him rub his hand along the outside of the van and at one point it does look like he's writing something.
tony hotaling
My first time watching this movie, not impressed at all
Drewcliff82
In the 1970s the average film budget was about 6 million. This film was made by some small timers with 120k budget. That is why some things are wonky but I think this is a masterpiece considering what they had to work with. This movie also influenced so many other horror movies that would come after it.
Drewcliff82
Also, doing the old photo scam on someone in their own van is wild lol. "This is the last hitchhiker I ever pick up"..............Yup.
Drewcliff82
Ok so yea I hitchhiked a few times in my teens and early 20s like a complete idiot lol. But yea never pick one up. Even though they did the second that guy started pulling out those pictures he's gotta go. 😂🤣😅🤣😂 Also, Franklin is an absolute legend lol.
Rana
So… regarding the bralessness and gratuitous camera angles, during this era (okay… in much of the slasher genre), there is a strong focus on female sexuality. This closely relates to the “final girl” phenomenon that was mentioned previously. Often, if the woman is shown to be promiscuous, she’s for sure going to die… and probably with her chichis out. The more “innocent” a woman is the more likelihood she has to be the “final girl” and the less likely you are to see her tatas fully exposed.

Spot on

Despite being a horror buff… I’ve never watched this one 🙊 I’ve only seen the remakes. Also, this isn’t a true story but leather face and his… crimes… are based on the acts of Ed Gein. He was a quite intense serial killer.
Isaac
All time Horror Classic. They went thru some wild things to get this movie made. There’s low budget and then there’s this movie.
Marquis keel
Pls add sinister to the list 🙏🏽
Melchizedek
Wikipedia says the budget was $80,000-$140,000. Even adjusted for inflation that's less than $1 Million. Hitchhiking used to be a pretty common thing. This movie played a role in changing that.
Slimsycentaur37
And I think people never truly believe in horoscopes but did so to be sarcastic or witty but then got stuck with that lie so they doubled down on it lol Just like flat earthers
Slimsycentaur37
And this was in Temple Texas. Godforsaken city but not as terrible as Seguin Texas lol I wouldn't stop to take a piss there
Slimsycentaur37
Ok...let me guess what you'll say beforehand on this one lmao Umm this is probably gonna be the worst filmed movie you've ever seen besides book of eli. You'll probably be driven up the wall about filming errors, voice redubs, and questionable acting and storytelling. And you weren't frightened at all and probably found the deletion of these idiotic individuals humorous lol I'll see if I'm close
Ciou
Oh this is gonna be a ride 💀
Drewcliff82
It's been a rough day bro. This is needed. This is an all time classic forsure and leather face is definitely one of the scariest horror characters ever. Happy father's day brother.
