I like both of these episodes quite a bit. Gus's whole setup with the secondary house he actually lives in makes Walt's attempt at getting to him in Breaking Bad seem even more futile/funny in retrospect :). One thing I noticed for the first time on this viewing is that I think I know what made Gus suddenly pause at Los Pollos and look like he had a realization. It happened right after he told the customer about their new Spice Curls. The last time we saw him talking about those was at Madrigal in front of Peter Shuler, the person financing the lab. I think that's what made him think that maybe Lalo is looking for the location of the lab to give a reason for the rest of the Cartel to go after Gus. That is why he then has the little road trip to the lab and plants the gun there.

man, don't apologize for nerding out. what you say about the filming, the photography, and the lighting are things i have NO knowledge of. Therefore, when something that i never notice is brought to light and explained by you, i find it intriguing and entertaining to learn and understand something that i never would have even thought about if not for your personal input. Keep doing your thing, man.

I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned it. But, there was a companion podcast that you can listen to. The hosts are the editors and the creators. Most episodes also have the other writers, directors, director of photography and sometimes actors. It aired after each episode and they take a deep dive. It’s not always about the story. But, usually about the locations, shot choices, equipment…they geek out. It’s a fun listen. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/better-call-saul-insider-podcast/id966297954

"You don't ever want to accidently confuse your state with California" Keep in mind, the first season of this show took place in 2002, I think by season six they're in 2004. Back Then California was not the hell hole it is now

was thinking the same thing

The reason you haven't heard of any female cappella groups is because they are all German

I hope you still read the comments this late into the video release

It's so crazy. I didn't notice Lalo wasn't in like 3 or 4 episodes back to back this season until the second viewing. I attribute that to the brilliant filmmaking, they make you feel his presence when he isn't even there
antbox1992
"Because I think you're made of sterner stuff" Can you blame Jimmy? He probably still has PTSD from seeing cartel people's brains being blown out in the desert
antbox1992
The reason why Wendy is in this episode. They wanted to shut down a famous fan theory that Kim and Wendy were the same character. The creators where personally offended by the theory

How come that the airco in your new studio is so much more obtrusive than in your old studio?

Off topic, but are we getting Home Alone 2 this Christmas? The first one is great, but I always preferred the second one🙂

Howard most assuredly does not deserve any of this.

My jaw just dropped, i did not even realize this until you just stated it. that is a great detail.

Yeah not a fan of the new Jaguar for multiple reasons lol, and these two episodes specifically are my least favorite of the last season. I understand buildup but they feel like they could've put more into them, at least the next two are insane if you get to them.

Lalo knew Werner’s full name, which is how he found Margarethe in Germany.
Doc Holliday
Remember that Hector told Lalo that he has to get proof before he goes after Gus. Trying to track down any leads or other information about the “North Wall” that Verner accidentally talked about on the phone would be the proof he needs. Then who knows his next move.
