A Note about the "Close Friends" Tier
🕑 Added 2020-04-08 18:15:10 +0000 UTCHey all! The last couple weeks have been super nuts, and I've gained more followers on Patreon than I ever thought possible. I'm totally floored by that, and so thankful. However, it's presented a dilemma!
The $2 tier includes access to my Close Friends list on Instagram Stories. When I made that tier, I only had several hundred patrons, and it was easy to keep track of. In the past week, I've gained close to twelve thousand new supporters, many of them at the $2 tier, which I can't feasibly add to my Close Friends list, since I have to add each username one at a time. I'm not even sure Instagram would support such a huge number.
As an alternative, I'm proposing this: I'd like to start a second, private Instagram exclusively for my $2 patrons. It would work exactly the same as my existing Close Friends list, but it would just be easier for me to manage. I'd share the username here, and you can request access to it. It's much easier for me to approve those requests than it is to manually add thousands of names into a tiny text box. I'd post stories as well as feed posts, so there'd actually be more content. This seems like the best way to keep giving you guys what you deserve!
If you have an issue with this, please let me know! Also feel free to suggest something else, but this definitely seems like the best course of action.

I think this way, he doesn’t have to worry about typing in weird usernames. It’s easier to search for a name than to type, have the app autocorrect, retype, etc. 🤔🤷🏻♂️

I may only be at the $5 tier, and would love to support more in the future. When I came on, you were only around ~1400 supporters, and I joined before Dick Sketch 2020, lol As it stands, there seems to be OVERWHELMING support for you to be able to do whatever it is that will be within your parameters of easier and convenience, even if that means a new account or even if it’s a restructuring of your levels. YOU DO YOU, BOO!!! You’ll still have tons of support either way!!! Can’t wait to see more of whatever awesome concept art for Frenzy Knights or other things that exist within the head beneath your fancy hairstyle! 🥰

Honestly the special private acct makes the most sense, but won't you have to manually approve all the ppl requesting to follow, and cross reference those names with your member list? Feels like the workload for you is kinda six of one, half a dozen of the other. I support your decision regardless. Tbh I'm grateful to have access to exclusive content for an annual cost equivalent to a book or two.

I personally think it would be better to raise that benefit to your $10 tier or even higher. That way you don’t have to worry about being on two different accounts. Also, I think it’ll be worth it. Maybe your previous supporter stay grandfathered in already but far as the new supporters yeah.
