Weekly dev blog: Defining December
🕑 Added 2023-11-27 17:01:43 +0000 UTCThe last update is barely behind us, but it's already time to talk about my plans for next month. So far, I fixed a visual glitch, added a toggle in the debug tools for those who want to switch between Jin and Lea, and I started working again on the final Outcasts quest. Still mapping, for now, but I should move to writing and gameplay soon. Once again, I am not sure if I can push to finish it this month, or if I'll just do more work in preparation for the next, so I can finally put everything together, but I'll probably work on it this whole week, at minimum.
Another thing I'll definitely work on this month is the Orc village, and that should be easier to complete. After that, I'll try to complete some stuff in the academy (the Marjorie sub path isn't missing much, for example). More detailed plans will have to wait until I know for sure if I can focus on the quest this month or not.
I think that's about it for now. As usual, the holidays will probably slow things down a bit, either for this release or the next one, but that's to be expected. Stay tuned to learn how much progress I am making, until next time! ^_^

Actually, the main reason is simply that it doesn't make sense to sell a noble into slavery, as it would bring too much attention, which is why he doesn't want you to play blackjack (and decides it's better to ban you outright, rather than risk you getting involved, or realizing what he does). It's mostly a "scenario-related" reason, so to speak.

Well, i can still play the dice and card games, and easily double my money through save-scumming. Isn't the point of banning nobles from the underground gambling den to avoid that?

But what's exactly the conflict here? I am not sure I follow. If you are a werewolf, you can't play blackjack, while if you are a noble you get banned if you try to play blackjack (and get some money for your trouble). The game is set so that the werewolf path "overrides" the noble effect, since you won't even sit at the table if you are one.

Say, you know how the werewolf path prevents you from playing blackjack in the underground gambling den? That same rule also prevents the boss from kicking you out after you become a noble. May wanna address that for balancing's sake...
