Oh, I totally understand where you're coming from, Tim. It seems like in this chapter both Ant and Michael are struggling with themselves - fighting what feels inevitable. For Michael, that means being terrified of Antonia leaving him without their romance even beginning... For Ant, that's the realization that he's ENJOYING being Antonia far more than he thought possible when this all started. Now it seems like Antonia is firmly in control of both Anthony AND Michael. 😉

I must admit I saw this chapter as "confusing" -- for Anthony, for Michael and for me -- through the first 24 pages. But all confusion was erased in the final 3-4 pages. The clarity and promise evident in Antonia's epiphany just gave me so much joy and hope for what lies ahead for the two protagonists. I'm really looking forward to Chapter 9 and beyond.

Excellent storytelling in this chapter, I couldn’t put it down. Amazing character development for both Michael and Anthony/Antonia, a good look behind the curtain of their respective psyches and how they are both dealing with how “the contract” is affecting them ❤️❤️🥰
