Still can't see clearly ... feels like I'm going blind :(
🕑 Added 2024-04-07 10:05:03 +0000 UTCI wasn't prepared for my vision to be this blurry for this long. As I type this, I can't even read this font, so I can't proofread it myself. Please, auto-correct, for once will you do your job?!
I can't really read scripts or long emails, especially not using my computer. But I can focus on my phone for a longer period of time, probably because I can pull it closer or push it farther away in order to self-focus as my vision gets stronger or weaker.
Last week I went for my followup with the surgeon expecting to get my stitches out, but my right eye was so irritated and swollen (nearly shut) because the internal stitches were scratching my eyeball. (Those are disolvable, he can't remove those until they disappear on their own and everyone is apparently different...)
So instead of removing my exterior stitches, he decided it was best to give me a contact lens bandage ... which is exactly what it sounds like. A contact lens that he put in my eye and told me not to touch it, it stays in until I come back to see him this Thursday. 9 days with a contact in my eye... sigh
Maybe that's contributing to the continued blurriness. I'd like to think when he takes it out that I'll suddenly be able to see clearly (cross your fingers for me). Because I'm dying to get back to work, I have so much to do this month. In addition to all the things I have to record, I also have to edit Size Queen Sluts Chapter 4 which is going to be about a 45 minute audio, splicing all 4 VA's lines together, and then adding all the SFX. That will probably take at least 2 weeks of working on it every day to get it done in time for the predicted April 30th release date.
I could really use a break from all these problems. The worst part is that this all came about at the same time as the Gumroad issues. In the past week, I've made about 1/6 of what I made on average per week on Gumroad before, so it's really hurt me financially. And it doesn't help that I haven't been able to create any new content to encourage new sales on my Itchio storefront (which is now complete by the way!)

Here's hoping that by Friday, I have better news after seeing my surgeon again.

Thank you Nyx... Found out Daddy has to be out of town on the day of my next appointment so I have to taxi there by myself. Gotta put my big girl panties on and ADULT all on my own. Wish my luck!

I know that I'm facing the same ups and downs that all creators face... but often times consumers don't know what we go through. I'm fortunate to have such a great community to weather these storms with me, if not I'd probably have thrown in the towel long ago.
