As someone who "self taught" wood carving. Yes especially early on you will cut the crap out if yourself. I embedded a 2inch chisel into my palm and had to super glue it shut. But also yes alot of the carved stuff you'll see online is done with machines.

My boy you're no longer tied to YouTube. You can let go of the "get punished by YouTube talk" although it might be a bit hard because of the PTSD. Also wish you can do more of another variety videos such as challenge, vlog etc.
