Chapter 706 : Overwhelming Might!

The moment Orochimaru said those words, Kimimaro got into action. Even though Fujin's existence had forced Orochimaru to change his plans, if Rasa didn't cooperate, he had no reason to leave him alive. If the talks didn't go as planned, he asked Kimimaro to attack if he said those words.
Kimimaro's fingertips parted without making any sound. Since Rasa and his subordinates weren't aware of his background, no one suspected anything. However, the instant Kimimaro's hands moved to point his fingertips at them, all four Anbu ninjas stared at his hands. After all, the four of them could be considered elites among elites in Sunagakure. They wouldn't miss such an obvious movement no matter how stealthy it might have been.
However, none of them anticipated that Kimimaro would shoot bones from his fingertips. Rasa wasn't an exception either. Unlike his guards, he didn't dare to take his eyes off Orochimaru. That proved to be a mistake as Kimimaro fired 6 bones at Rasa and one each at his 4 subordinates.
“Careful, Kazekage-sama!” The four Anbu guards immediately got into action. In a flash, kunai appeared in their hands. They dodged the bones aimed at them and moved to block the bones aimed at Rasa. Unfortunately, the bones were too fast for them.
Just as the six bones were about to hit Rasa, they froze in the air. Surprise appeared on Kimimaro's face. He focused on his bones and realized, ‘Gold particles? How did he stop my attacks with so little gold?’
Rasa thought, ‘I should've known. We can't trust this snake!’
Unfortunately, before Rasa could make a move, Orochimaru opened his mouth and exhaled poisonous gas at Rasa and his guards. Under normal circumstances, Rasa and the rest would have easily dodged it. However, Kimimaro's attack had distracted them. Coupled with how close the two sides were to each other, they didn't have a chance to dodge and were engulfed by purple smoke.
In the blink of an eye, all five Suna ninjas flickered backwards while holding their breaths. One of the Anbu ninjas asked, “Kazekage-sama, are you fine?”
Rasa immediately replied, “I am. Focus on the enemy, he is from the Kaguya clan. Don't lose sight of Orochimaru and others.”
Giving them no time to regroup, Kimimaro moved towards the Suna ninjas right through the purple smoke. Two bone swords had appeared in his hand. With a frown on his face, Rasa wondered, ‘Wasn't the Kaguya clan wiped out? Why does Orochimaru have a subordinate from that cursed clan?’
At the same time, Orochimaru slithered along the ground and moved towards Rasa.
‘Wind Release: Pressure Damage jutsu’
‘Fire Release: Searing Migraine jutsu’
Two of the Suna Anbu blew intense winds towards the incoming attackers while the remaining two exhaled a fierce fire into the intense winds. In the blink of an eye, the entire terrain was covered in a firestorm, engulfing both Kimimaro and Orochimaru.
The intense attack forced the Sound Four to retreat.
Kidomaru commented, “Those guys are strong.”
Tayuya scoffed, “Of course. They're trusted to ensure the Kazekage's safety. Not that it'd be of any use.”
Rasa calculated, ‘This should slow the Kaguya brat. As for Orochimaru…’
Gold dust appeared around Rasa and rushed into the firestorm. At the same time, he used Magnet Release to sense gold around him. Suddenly, his eyes widened and shock appeared on his face.
From the firestorm, Orochimaru appeared with a hideous grin on his face. Rasa immediately controlled the gold dust he had sent into the firestorm and attacked Orochimaru from 3 directions. However, Orochimaru stamped his foot on the ground and continued moving towards Rasa. As he moved, the ground under his feet transformed into mud and moved up to form several layers of wall, slowing down Rasa's gold to a great extent.
The Anbu ninjas were about to engage when they suddenly felt something break out of the firestorm. They turned their heads to see a dinosaur-like human with dark gray skin, dark black eye sclera, yellow eye irises, sharp teeth, six large bone spines protruding out of his back and a long bone-spiked tail.
Seeing the bones, they realized that it was Kimimaro, but his appearance still shocked them. Facing two enemies, the Anbu ninjas quickly analyzed the situation and came to a unanimous decision without exchanging a single word. All four of them moved to stop Kimimaro, leaving Rasa to deal with Orochimaru alone.
Kimimaro didn't care about being outnumbered and swung his bone swords at them. Instead of blocking, all four Anbu ninjas moved away to be just outside his range while weaving hand seals.
‘Wind Release: Blades of Wind jutsu’
‘Water Release: Water Bullets jutsu’
Three Anbu ninjas launched dozens of Wind Blades at Kimimaro while the last one followed up by firing Water Bullets at him. Due to such close range, Kimimaro couldn't dodge any of the attacks and was hit by all of them!
Relief appeared in the eyes of the Suna ninjas, but their relief immediately changed into horror as Kimimaro continued standing in front of them without a single injury on his body! Their attacks had only caused slight discoloration where they landed but failed to draw any blood!
A few meters away, Orochimaru's sword was just a foot away from Rasa's neck when Rasa waved his left hand.
‘Magnet Release: Gold Rush jutsu’
Under his sleeve, his gold bracelet turned into gold dust and moved towards Orochimaru. The sword was just a few inches away from Rasa's throat when Orochimaru was hit by the gold dust. In an instant, Orochimaru was blasted behind at a great speed.
Orochimaru flipped in the air and landed on his feet. He continued sliding backwards as the mud slowed him down. Rasa asked in a grim tone, “How did you get rid of my gold?”
Rasa had long considered that Orochimaru might turn on him. Hence, he had planted a large amount of gold dust deep underneath the meeting spot. The reason why he was shocked earlier was that he couldn't feel that gold!
Orochimaru laughed and asked tauntingly, “Did you really think I'd meet you over a gold mine?”
The two continued to exchange blows as Rasa asked with a frown, “But how? We were the ones who chose the meeting spot. How could you find the gold I hid?”
As someone who could control and manipulate gold freely, Rasa was very confident in his methods of hiding gold. No one without Magnet Release should have had any chance of finding it. Yet, it had happened! In fact, things were so bad that he couldn't feel any gold in the vicinity. It almost felt like someone had removed all gold particles for dozens of kilometers around that spot. Orochimaru chuckled and continued attacking as he answered, “I have my means.”
After tanking their jutsus, Kimimaro immediately went on the assault. The Suna ninjas immediately evaded and moved away from him. As a ninja from the Kaguya clan, the Suna ninjas were already wary of his close combat skills. The fact that he brushed off their jutsus with such ease, they were even more sure of their decision.
Seeing the Suna ninjas avoiding him, Kimimaro ignored them and moved towards Rasa. It forced the Suna ninjas to attack him. One of them flowed his chakra along his kunai and attacked Kimimaro, who used one of his bones to stop the kunai before counterattacking. The Suna ninja immediately retreated while shouting, "We can't fight him in close range. How do we stop this monster?”
One of them replied, "Use formation 6!"
In the blink of an eye, all four ninjas flickered. They surrounded Kimimaro on all four sides and blasted him with Pressure Damage jutsus. Being bombarded by intense winds from all four directions made it difficult for Kimimaro to move. In addition, sharp winds continued bombarding his body. A few cuts opened up on his body.
Yet, the Suna ninjas were shocked as the effect of their jutsus was far lesser than what they wanted. At the same time, they tossed dozens of explosive tags along the winds and exploded all of them as soon as they reached Kimimaro.
A massive explosion took place, launching dust in every direction. The Suna ninjas shielded their eyes and wondered, ‘Did we get him?’
Suddenly, the eyes of the four Suna ninjas widened as they felt pain in their feet. They looked down and tried to move away but couldn't move their feet and lost their balance. Bones had appeared from the ground and pierced through their feet, pinning them to the ground. As they looked down, a bone spike was launched from the ground at each of the four Suna ninjas. It pierced right through their bodies, killing them on the spot!
Without giving them a second glance, Kimimaro moved towards Rasa, who was already having a tough time resisting Orochimaru!

If anything it would have been better if he special in platinum its stronger than iron and denser then gold and can be found alongside gold which would still help there village get a small boost to there economy

Oooooh, a little teaser for the next Fanfic. Interesting. I mean, you could make them mention how great of an achievement it is when Fujin does obtain his Scorch Release and how impossible it was for Hiruzen, Danzo and Orochimaru, maybe they tried learning/obtaining Wood Release together?

I had an opposite take. Using Magnet Release to affect just 1 specific metal should be much harder than controlling any random metal. That should mean that Rasa's comprehension of Magnet Release is much higher than that of others. Unfortunately, considering how weak Rasa was shown to be, my line of reasoning kinda falls flat on its face, lol.

I also like that he specialized in gold, but not ONLY for that reason, but also because every metal is different and specializing in only one makes controlling it easier. But it is a bit dumb, just control Orochimaru’s sword and throw it away.

That's an interesting take, hadn't thought it that way. We could say this for Hiruzen as well, considering he used a few mud jutsus too. Probably too late for this story, but this could fit perfectly in my next one considering it'll happen when Hiruzen and Orochimaru are younger :)

Maybe you could give Orochimaru Mud Release? Or maybe he could’ve worked towards obtaining it, like how Fujin is doing now, but gave up after some point. He was really interested in Fujin obtaining Scorch Release, since both he and Hiruzen couldn’t make/obtain a Kekkei Genkai. Maybe Orochimaru even wanted to create Wood Release, but got more knowledge into Mud Release, since Wood and Mud Release have the same elements, but maybe Mud is a more natural/easier result. Maybe Orochimaru and Danzo both even worked together for a bit towards the same goal of reviving Wood Release, but eventually went into different directions. I would love it if you could somehow work this in, I believe it’s pretty realistic, but it’s your story, so do with this suggestion what you want. You already listened to and implemented enough of my and other’s ideas. 😊 “I have my means.” Come on man, don’t tease us like that!

I confirm that baki know of kimimaro. he says this in the chapter where he finds out that fujin beat orochimaru. I don't know if he knows about his kekkei genkai, but he certainly has an idea of its level from how he talks about it

if u go over the whole series you'll find many similar cases. Kishi would just throw out an ability but doesn't think the whole thing thru, then u get fans with unlimited Imagination who come up with a very creative use of an ability lol

Why should they atack a training ground? Konoha don't have all the information but they are ready for them. If Orochimaru is the only S-Rank against Hiruzen, Jiraya, Guy, Kakashi and Fujin, he is dead. Fujin, Jiraya and Hiruzen are grandmaster in sealing so the edo ninja and Gaara became more easy to deal with. If Rasa is death then another S-Rank must take is place. Someone new will show up to make thinks interesting.

the problem is that one of hiruzen and jiraya must stay in the Village to defend it. It's not an organized tournament where you choose your opponent. if everyone attacks at camp 44 and no S rank goes to the village then whoever is in the village will be left without their pairing. Same thing, if everyone stays at camp 44 all it takes is an S rank for the village and it will be razed to the ground

In the original story Hiruzen could take on 2 Hokages and Orochimaru. The Toad didn't show up and Guy did nothing worthy. Naruto defeated Gaara and Fujin didn't exist. Now we have Fujin who is crazy strong, Guy is ready to open the seven gate, Jiraya is task to fight Orochimaru and Hiruzen is stronger than the original. Orochimaru trump card was edo tensei, but he admits he can't use properly, so his going to make another one? Hashirama.,Tobirama, Kabuto and Rasa? You must have a massive surprise for us
