Chapter 642 : Striking Preemptively

In complete shock, he turned his head and saw Kakashi. He muttered, “Hatake Kakashi… How did you follow me? And why didn't I detect you?”
Kakashi's eyes widened as he thought, ‘This fellow is remarkable! Even without his heart, he is able to replicate blood circulation with just his chakra! Tsk, this troublesome fellow's expertise in Medical Ninjutsu is even better than I remember!
Fortunately, I had a chance to make a move against him inside Konoha. Otherwise, killing him would have been troublesome. The fact that he will always stay around Orochimaru would make it even tougher.’
Needless to say, the attacker wasn't Kakashi. Instead, it was Fujin under disguise. The ‘Fujin’ who confronted Orochimaru was his Shadow Clone. Unlike the Shadow Clone that he left in the tower and contained only half a percent of his chakra, the clone fighting Orochimaru had 70% of his chakra. That is why Orochimaru didn't suspect anything.
As for how Fujin snuck up on Kabuto? That was actually extremely simple. Back when Fujin was tasked to search for the culprit that killed the Root ninjas, Fujin had marked nearly the entire village with his Flying Thunder God mark!
Only some clan spaces and important buildings where he was closely watched were spared. If anyone else could see those marks, they would struggle to find a single square meter in any other place inside Konoha that didn't have one of those marks!
Anyone who could see seals found Fujin's home terrifying and stayed as far from it as they could. What none of them knew was that the number of seals he inscribed on his house paled in comparison to the number of Flying Thunder God marks he had placed throughout the village! Even Hiruzen and Danzo were unaware of this! If they did, both would have been terrified!
When Fujin's Shadow Clone was fighting against Orochimaru, Fujin's entire attention was on Kabuto and Kakashi's battle. Even though Kabuto escaped from Kakashi, Fujin never lost his track due to his Space Time Sensing Technique.
Once Kabuto entered an area where no one was around, Fujin just teleported to the closest Flying Thunder God mark behind Kabuto, which was just one step behind him, and stabbed his chest with Kakashi's Chidori before he had any time to react. It was the perfect assassination!
Had it been any other place, Fujin would have had a hard time killing Kabuto despite being significantly stronger than him. However, inside Konoha, even someone as strong as Kabuto had no chance of resisting Fujin for a second!
Kabuto didn't get any response to his question. Instead, Fujin clenched his fist and crushed Kabuto's heart while concentrating more Lightning chakra on his arm. From his arm, Lightning sparks flowed in all directions inside Kabuto's body except the top direction!
As the Lightning ripped through Kabuto's body, he felt pain that he had never experienced. His eyes widened and he let out a gut-wrenching scream! Under normal circumstances, people would have heard his scream for several hundred meters.
Yet, not a single other person heard his scream due to the Stealth Battlefield Fujin deployed right after stabbing Kabuto. Despite several Ninjas, who were rushing towards the spot where Fujin's clone and Orochimaru fought, passing by from very close to where Fujin and Kabuto were, none of them sensed the chakra spikes from Fujin's attack or heard Kabuto's miserable screams.
Despite his terrible situation, Kabuto still tried to heal himself. Unfortunately, the speed at which he could heal was too slow compared to the destruction Fujin was causing inside his body. His struggle, though admirable, failed to earn him even a second!
Kabuto cursed, ‘Shit! I can't hold on! He intends to kill me!’
Kabuto immediately began thinking about what he could do. Unfortunately, he couldn't think of anything in that situation. The Lightning waves destroyed every internal organ of Kabuto except his brain, which was completely unharmed. In addition, the Lightning, wreaking havoc through his body, pierced through his skin and exited his body, leaving behind hundreds of minute holes that leaked blood!
Yakushi Kabuto, one of the major players of the Fourth Great Ninja War who controlled dozens of dead rank S ninjas and Elite Jounins like puppets and single-handedly turned the tide of the battle against the allied forces, was electrocuted to death by Suzuki Fujin even before the Konoha Crush invasion could be put into action!
Kabuto's soul crumbled at that very instant as well and began dispersing, indicating to Fujin that he was dead for sure. Fujin looked at his dead body and thought, ‘So he couldn't survive the destruction of all his internal organs, eh? A shame... That would have been a sight to see.'
Fujin stored Kabuto's body inside a scroll to ensure that his body wouldn't decay and his memories could be read later while thinking, ‘Yakushi Kabuto… If I hadn't transmigrated, you would have become one of the strongest ninjas in the world and someone who'd be known and feared by nearly everyone.
Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't kill someone who plays such a vital role in future events. Your death will drastically change how the Fourth Great Ninja War happens, costing me my knowledge about future events. However…’
Fujin cleared the blood stains left in the area as he continued thinking, ‘However, this guy is just too crazy and troublesome. Bastard not only revived the dead Kages but also revived Uchiha fucking Madara! That should be the ultimate taboo in this world!
And he did all that despite not having any stake in the Great War! What exactly would he gain if the Infinite Tsukuyomi was a success? Did he want to experiment in his dreams? Or did he want to dream about a world where Orochimaru becomes immortal and still cares for him?
Not to mention, he could make things far worse by reviving all other Kages and rank S ninjas that he didn't in the original story for some reason! It is also possible that Black Zetsu might give him the dead bodies of the previous incarnations of Ashura and Indra. The allied army might not stand a chance against such a force even with my addition. Even if I do grow strong enough to deal with that in the future, why should I do so when I can avoid all the trouble right now?
Even though killing Kabuto now will change the future, the changed future will be much better for me. Without Kabuto, there won't be any Edo Tensei summons. More importantly, Uchiha Madara wouldn't be revived! The variables in the war would be reduced significantly, which would be beneficial for me.
Obito will only have the Zetsu army and the Tailed Beasts. Unless he or Zetsu has some other hidden card under their sleeves, they'll be on the losing end. Depending on how strong I become by then and whether that seal is a success or not, I will be able to implement several of my plans while keeping both of them at bay. Regardless of what will happen, there is no doubt that I'll end up benefiting.
This is the primary advantage of knowing the future. Even though I made quite a few moves that would impact the future until now, I was careful in ensuring that they didn't create a major change in future events.
Even though I wreaked havoc in the Land of Wind, all it did was make Rasa hate Konoha even more. Similarly, my clashes against Roshi and Kitsuchi didn't have an impact on the future. Killing Juzo didn't have much impact either as he would have died sooner or later.
I was very careful while training Naruto as well to ensure that he didn't become very strong. After all, he'll be involved in all the major events and things will be very different if he is overpowered. There are only two cases where I messed up or it wasn't in my hands. One is Sakura defeating Ino and the other is my very existence.
Anyway, the reason I was being so careful wasn't just so that everything happens exactly the same way. I did it so that I could take advantage of the moments that I know will occur as long as I don't cause any major changes. When I do something that would affect the future, the move I make has to change the future such that it becomes more advantageous for me!
This is one of those instances and the first time I made such a move. I have a few more such moves planned for the future, though it would depend on whether things stay the same or not for those events to occur.
If Hiruzen wins or survives against Orochimaru, then I won't be able to take advantage of any of them as all of those events are unlikely to happen. That was also why I made a move against Kabuto now instead of later.
If Hiruzen kills Orochimaru, then there is no saying what this psychotic brat would have done. He went from barely rank S to someone who controlled dozens of peak rank S ninjas in less than a year after Orochimaru's death. If he's left unchecked for over 4 years, who knows what level he would reach! Leaving him alive would have been too risky…’
A smile formed on his face as he teleported away while thinking, ‘Of course, it isn't all about the future. There are too many benefits for the present as well!’

Very interesting, the biggest immediate change I could see from this, is if Jiraiya and Naruto still go find Tsunade, then Naruto doesn't protect Tsunade from Kabuto, and Naruto doesn't use Rasengan on Kabuto, and Tsunade doesn't heal Naruto, which causes Orchimaru to try and kill him and Tsunade protects him and gets hire fire back.

I feel like fujin should give hiruzen, Naruto and his students those tags that vibrate and mark them with ftg so he could teleport a clone to them in case of emergencies.. also him and gramps are really close I understand keeping lightening a secret but he should at least tell him about ftg..

He’ll end up putting Dome seals all over the elemental nations like they were FTG seals 😂😂 I wonder if it’s possible to use the hand seals print thing into the air either solidifying the wind and transporting the seal or incasing it in a bubble barrier of some form and then shoot it at the target 🤔 or using the wind itself as a medium to write seals, which might work very well with a weaker but more widespread half domain kind thing

now it's finally beginning to feel like a story where things may not play out like cannon, For as strong as Fujin is, he always felt like he wasn't doing much in the ninja world cause he was trying not to change anything. honestly with everyone hopefully buffed up and much smarter, you could definitely change or affect quite a lot of things especially fights. so many fights won & lost cause friendship lol

should give Fujin a ftg/domain/, barrier seal type thing. A seal that covers a large area that can be used to sense and also allows him to teleport anywhere within that seal. or just make his wind domain incorporate seals, the dome is basically all his chakra and if you bullshit your way into adding space time with the domain he could basically make it similar to kaguyas space but instead of taking them away, he just makes so no one can leave or enter. he wouldn't need to spam so many ftg seals lol and with him being able to teleport anywhere in the radius of that "dome seal" etc, he wouldn't need to throw marked weapons to attack or teleport, he just goes where he wants. might be op right now so maybe not yet but it's a not a bad shout😂

Wouldn't Orochimaru notice Kabuto's disappearance? Since he still has his hands and a month before the finals, couldn't he perform Edo Tensei on Kabuto (since I'm assuming his DNA is available to Orochi)? Or did Fujin seal Kabuto's soul to prevent that form happening? Just seems Fujin should be thorough about removing Kabuto from the board, and ensuring there are no chances to return. Thanks for the chapter, love the direction this is going!

I can imagine his shock, honestly, Hiruzen will probably shocked as well if he manages to learn about Fujin successfully learning FTG, along with the things he has learned we can confidently say he has reached Minato's level or he is not that much behind. On top of that imagine Jiraya's reaction when he discovers someone who can perform FTG and Rasengan.

I think the author is cooking up a lot, he deliberately mentioned fate and how even if there is a butterfly effect fate will try to mend the broken path back somehow, so now even if Kabuto is not there, he will find something to summon Madara the ghost. Honestly can't wait how this will affect the future, Orochimaru will be down by one for his valuable help.

I was waiting the whole chapter for that last line 😂 Think this chapter answer quite a bit for the readers in terms of motivation and why he did what he did. It will be interesting to see how you will handle orochimaru so handicapped in terms of valuable help. Though I do have a small suspicion of you killing of orochimaru allowing the phantom organisation to reap the leftovers of sound and strong characters
