That is very true. I have had times where we fight and then a flying creature appears. Up until then I have a use, but after it shows up, there are at least a few rounds of standing there.

Niche is probably correct, but it's sometimes very useful having a ranged attack on hand (like when you're fighting something that can fly out of your reach.)

An interesting class. I like the theme a lot. My one major concern would be the hammer throw ability. Between the range and the hammer returning at the end of the turn, it seems like it would only be useful in very niche circumstances, since you'd be better off moving into melee for two attacks. Cool class, Nice work!
