Starry Night was a very popular superhero in the city of Tegepolos. She spent most days and nights protecting the people of this city. She even just finished a fight with her arch-rival The Silver Keeper, and was now soaking up all the praise and attention from her fans.
They often credited the safety of the city to her, as she was putting criminals behind bars almost every day. The thing they don’t know is, that most of those people are innocent, and would be locked up with charges she made up.
Since everyone trusted her, her word was good enough to get the person convicted even with little to no evidence. As for any real criminals, there was only a handful like The Silver Keeper who kept getting out and causing trouble, the rest, well they were either too afraid or deep in the ground now.
After waving goodbye to her fans she flew off towards her secret hideout. It was a small bunker buried underneath a lighthouse that she lived on far from the city. No one knew about it, or at least she had thought so, but it seemed one of her fans had found it.

Even if by some chance there was a nefarious plot, her powers would be enough to get her out of it. Starry Night rests for a bit, showers and eats then flies back to the city to patrol around some more, maybe even throw some innocent fool into jail.
That's when she sees him. One of her old villains, Griefer. She hadn’t seen him in nearly five years. She almost didn’t recognize him at first but at a second glance, she knew it was him. She flew down to him and confronted him for not being in jail anymore.
He raised his hands and told Starry Night that he’d been released and was considered reformed and ready to rejoin society. Starry Night didn’t believe him, after all, he was a meta with a very powerful ability.
He was able to overwhelm people with the emotion of grief, which is how he got his name. He had obtained the ability when he was very young. His sister had died in an incident that neither knew was actually Starry Night’s fault.
When Griefer found his sister no longer alive his emotions triggered his meta genes to activate and create a power for him based on the trigging event. He was unable to control those powers and he ended up hurting a lot of people.
Then Starry Night defeated him and threw him into a meta prison where he’d been for the last five years. Now he was somehow out and about acting like he wasn’t an escaped prisoner. Starry Night ready herself to fight against his power and bring him right back to jail.
Starry Night charges at Griefer whose hands were still up. He was terrified and out of desperation begged her to stop. Starry Night’s body instantly stopped and she couldn’t move a muscle not even to speak. It was like she was frozen solid but without any ice.
Griefer released she had stopped moving, and was now stuck in a mid-running position. He looked at her and noticed her necklace. He walked over to her and put his hand on it. He smiled at Starry Night and told her he recognized it.
He said it was a very special necklace that his former cellmate at the meta prison was making. He said his cellmate had talked about taking the pendant to an enchantress to have it cursed. He then laughed and said he couldn’t believe he acutely did it and it worked.
Griefer then continued on about the pendant. He told Starry Night that the curse would not only bind the pendant to the wearer so it wouldn’t come off, but it would force the wearer to obey and serve the first man they see for the rest of their life.
Starry Night's eyes widened, she knew this was bad but if she could activate her powers, she could break the curse. Griefer saw the look in her eyes and knew she was planning something, so he commanded her to create a mental block on her powers to lock them away forever.
She couldn’t stop herself from using her powers one last time to lock them away permanently. Her heart dropped as she felt all her power fade, she knew there was nothing she could do now, she was now a helpless servant to a supervillain.
Griefer orders her to kneel on the ground and look up at him. She does so and waits in dreadful anticipation. Griefer looks at her and tells her he’s not very happy with her small flat body, but lucky the pendant could help with that.
He commands her chest to expand until her breasts are so big that they nearly pull her over. She almost managed to gasp as she felt it. The pendant not only gave Griefer control over her mentally but physically, and he seemed to have some pretty devious plans in mind for using that power.
Griefer kept telling Starry Night about his time in prison and how he really did change, so much so that he lost his powers because he worked with a therapist to work through his grief, which is why he was now free to live as a civilian again.

Do you know which superheroes I hate the most? These are the ones who have a huge variety of abilities and an extremely small number of weaknesses and whose abilities have no reason to exist (because of this, Superman is one of my least favorite heroes... he is too omnipotent and his weaknesses are far-fetched and have no reason to exist) ... but even this is not so bad if these “omnipotent” heroes are examples of morality, then they look like a conditional ideal of a person and then you can come to terms with their existence ... but Starry Night in its original form ... this is exactly the type of super heroes that I do not I love those who are kind on the outside but completely rotten on the inside, and at the same time endowed with incredible capabilities... in general, I feel incredible happiness because of what exactly happened to her! This is exactly the fate I wish for all such characters. They don't need death but humiliation and suffering... thank you Riley for this wonderful story
