I was going to connect it, but it didn't feel right. It seemed better to make another version. Sorry it's hard to put into words, but I didn't forget about it in general and did attempt it, but just couldn't make it work.

Happy birthday to me! Here I am, 23! I liked this story and especially that you decided to split it into two parts, I also really liked the concept of the "birthday note" it really looks like a "death note" in my opinion, just used for other purposes... But there is a minus to this story... I was saddened that you decided to forget about the magic hat that was last year... You could at least mention it and say that it stopped working, that would be interesting... However, this is a minor minus, but otherwise the story is wonderful! I'll go read the second part
